The reporters talked about how Venezuela has been lacking in medicine and food due to the border shut down. The president there has closed borders and will not let necessities in such as the medicine and food. This has caused the Venezuelan people to riot and for the US to get involved and to bring back hope to the country. The US government hopes by February 23 the medicine and food will be able to cross the borders and to be shared around to country. The other thing. they talked about is testing airline engines. When an airplanes engine goes out and there is only one left, that lone engine is going to have to increases its speed insanely quickly to save the plane from crashing. In Atlanta there is a new test sight for these broken down engines to get fixed. They specialist breaks down the engine into all of its parts then reassembles it. After they do this they attach the engine to the ceiling and tests it indoors in a huge hanger. The walls of the hanger are made of metal and are reinforced with 3 feet of concrete because the thrust of the engine is so powerful. The shooter killed 50 people and injured  more, the shooter was caught 30 minutes later by being rammed by a police car; he would've kept killing if he wasn't rammed police say. Another story Carl talks about is the water shortage in Venezuela. This country used to be blessed with water but is now it has become a luxury. People are scavenging for water they are even finding puddles and collecting the water from it. Even though it is filled with bugs and dirty chemicals. This is not good for the whole country because if the water pipes don't get fixed this problem could cause hundreds of deaths. The current water system is spitting out black goo instead of water. No citizen is able to drink it which causes them to scavenge for water. This whole water ordeal effects the world wide community because it may cause other countries to donate / share water which could lower the amount of water they have. This is not uncommon in-fact this has happened in Las Vegas where there is a severe water shortage from the lake in Colorado where Las Vegas gets its water. Also this has happened in Georgia and Tennessee. A long time ago around 100 years the 2 states battled over a lake that was divided in both states. This lake was a huge water source and to this day serves both states as a water resource. In the past few years they have made over 11,000 bunk beds. They also brought up the 2018 heroes and brought them all together to one big meeting which helps the organizations they founded do even bigger and better things. This is good for globalization because it helps the world as a community come closer together and to help out the less fortunate. Motorola came out with a new phone that is compatible with 5G network, and Samsung is coming out with a 5g computable phone by the end of the summer this year. 5G is a major factor in our economy and future, dealing with tech and medicine, farming and loads of more things. It is extremely faster than any other network and connects everything together much better than previous networks. This network is a game changer for communicating and operating machines from thousand of miles away. Rolling out 5G to the entire US could cost over 300 Billion!!! Many people cram on buses to get around. 5g farming, some concerns have to deal with hackers and security and also users and installment. This is supposed to help with growing and producing more food for our constant growing population. This can harvest plant and food without anyone having to do much work in the field. It is used to help speed and efficiency. 5g farming could help change the way we look at farming. Our population is growing constantly and its not gonna stop if we want to keep producing food for more and more people we need to change the way we farm. By introducing more efficient technology that helps us farm we can produce more food that is going to be greatly needed in the future.
