(1) I think some things that make a great turning point essay are great, expanded details on a scene, but not so much that you leave less for the important parts, good hooks, and a topic that makes sense. For example, you don't want to talk about a win at your first volleyball tournament and then talk about fries for the rest of the essay. (2) In my own narrative writing, I will use "Snapshots and Thoughtshots" to make my writing more creative and original. I think that adding emotion, flavor, your own twist, and tasteful writing will get a reader to try to read my story. (3) Lastly, I think something I will try to emulate/imitate from the mentor text in my own writing is the way they can move on from an event or scene quickly, but still tell the most important information.

1. A good turning point essay is one that is centered around a pivotal moment that irrevocably changes the protagonist's life. Before the turning point, things are in one state (stable or otherwise), and after, they are fundamentally different, leading to character growth or a significant shift in perspective. It is relevant, precise, and avoids dwelling on insignificant details.

The reader or Audience can actually picture the moment. Then they like to connect to it.

2) I will use Snapshot and Thoughtshot in my essay by highlighting my most memorable moments, like a moment that really stood out to me. Like the most important ones. Then, using a thought shot by saying what I was feeling and what I was thinking in that moment.

3) What I will add in my writing is be really specidic and add a lot od detail.

1. I think when your writing a turning point in your life you should slow down to get the reader in suspense you should also express your emotions and how you feel or what you see, smell, and hear for example. It was first year in California I went to a new school. as I walked through the doors I felt the cold breeze I felt nervous and scared I went to my first class and sat down then the teacher walked in she said we can walk around the class and talk to more people we all stood up and talked to each other but I didn't talk to any one. I stood there for about 30 minutes and finally the bell rang I was happy that I didn't have to interact with anyone and make new friends I walked t my next class and sat down again then this boy walked up to me and said hi I said hi back he asked me what game I liked we started to talk more then at that point I knew I made a new friend and I felt more comfortable talking more.

2. I will use snapshots and thoughtshots to explain more about the turning point.

3. I will try to emulate how I slowed down but add more stuff before the turning point

1) Besides the details about opening with the story with immediate context and other details like that, building up the climax & actually making it surprising in a way. It's probably the best way to make a turning point essay.

2) I will use snapshots to relay more detail, such as the things that can be seen, touched, & felt, so that the reader can picture it in their head. I will use Thoughtshots to share my feelings that are in my head through my experiences. This way, I can really express my emotions at that moment, and it's easier for a reader to picture moments and a person's feelings about them.

3) I will try to emulate being in an unexpected state and reacting to a moment that's the opposite of the usual play. In "Perfectly Pan-Fried Tofu", Charis had flashbacks of her elementary & middle school friends not liking the smell of her Korean tofu lunch and usually scooting away from her to avoid the smell. But then in high school, her new friend, and the entire class in the lunchroom ate all of the tofu from her lunchbox.

What makes a good turning point is if it goes straight into the action, and what is happening during that moment that made you rethink or is still thinking about that changed the way you thought about something, through first person.

2.) I will use Snapshot and Thoughtshot in my writing to further capture the moments in my writing to bring the audience closer to the moments that I was having, but also how my thoughts and feelings changed.

3.) I will try to emulate adding sensory details. And jumping straight into action. I can try to make it so the story is understandable to the reader, and they understand how I'm feeling, and how it changed throughout the moment.

It has details that describe the moment so that it feels like the reader is in the moment and is experiencing what you experienced.

2) I can use snapshot and thoughtshot writing moves in my own narrative writing by adding flashbacks related to the turning point to help the reader understand my point of view. I can add thoughtshots of what I am thinking about in my narrative to add emotions and my feelings into my writing.

3) Some things that I will try to emulate from the mentor's text into my own writing are lengthening my turning moment and adding more details to make it feel like the reader is in the moment. I will also include more flashbacks in my writing to help show my perspectives.

1: What makes a good turning point essay is the emotions, conflict, and the reflection afterward, learning the lesson of the story. and with these problems and reflections, help the reader connect with the author because maybe they are going through something similar. Another thing that makes turning point essays good is that they are true and personal to you.

2: I use the snapshot at a special moments, so it will feel like the reader is right there experiencing the scene. You really get the attention of the reader if you draw a picture to imagine. I will use the thoughtshot at some moments that need expanding or more expression in the writing.

3: I will try to show more of my thoughts and emotions that the characters are going through.
