I chose to read/write about this article because I have never heard of this virus and I wanted to learn more because COVID-19 was a nationwide virus and the ‘Monster Measles’ could be the same.

The author’s purpose is to spread awareness. By learning about what goes on outside of our city/ country is beneficial in many ways. For instance, now knowing that this disease is out there in the world. I am going to research to find out if it affects me, if there is a cure, etc. We are learning from one another whether it was by something good or bad. Learning from others teaches us whether or not to make those same choices. In doing so we will evolve as a world.
