Archaeologists need to keep warm. I will make insulated high knee socks and arm warmers. They will have several layers of butter-soft Merino wool and synthetic fibers on the inside. Merino wool has a natural loft, or airiness, that traps heat between its fibers, making it warmer than other fabrics of the same weight. The synthetic fiber layer also trap warm air the way heavy wool would, and they are lightweight instead of bulky. The arm warmers and socks will also be lined with reflective material to retain body heat. The outside will be waterproof puffy material to keep snow and ice from leaking in.

Did you know that your feet get cold the fastest because they are the furthest from the heart? Ski socks are specifically made to be thin. This allows your feet to breathe so when you sweat, the sweat doesn't turn into cold water that makes you cold. Another technology that is used is toe and hand warmers. They are chemicals in a bag that you shake to make a chemical reaction that releases heat. Ski instructors can put these in their ski boots and gloves and as the heat is released, it keeps them warm.

They have to keep warm in the middle of winter, but still be able to do tricks. They wear snowboarding jackets and snowboarding pants. Along with gloves, a helmet, and goggles. The solution I have is to have a jacket and snowpants that can create and keep in heat, but also be small enough to still be able to move in them. I can also make gloves that warm up their hands, but let them grip easier. To do this for the jacket and snowpants, I would first make a thin but warm layer. Then a packed in material that insulates the person. Then the next layer has Gore-Tex material that still keeps people warm and it repels the weather. With only three layers, it is easier to move around, but still keeps people insulated. Then for the gloves, I would make them as thin as possible with fabric that grips. To make it even easier for the person wearing it, if they want to take off a layer then it can disconnect easily.
