I think that fake news is news that is not reliable. People that publish fake news want people to believe something that they believe is correct but most people don't. Fake news can be spread by people, non credible websites, by tv shows or news, or even on paper. Usually it is spread just to make people believe something that can be a threat or just to get the views.

Fake News is the spreading of false information for example that the earth is flat. This information is usually an update on a particular topic hence the name Fake News as opposed to fake information. The difference between fake news and false information it that because they do not have the right stuff to properly inform people (In my example believing that the earth was flat in ancient times). It can be spread through the same platforms as regular news for example news papers, magazines, online, word of mouth etc.

Fake new is a new's article or video that is false. And it spread's via rumor and false info. I think this term is vastly overused and we should have a good definition. The oxfordlearnersdictionaries state's that it is "false report's of event's, written and read on website's" I agree with this.
