         <description><![CDATA[<div>- I really found very useful to understand how we can use different sheltered instruction strategies for each component. <br>- I labeled my classroom and use a Math and Science content board. In regards to the Sheltered Instruction strategies I taught my kids what to say when they don’t know what to say, use sentence stems, popsicle sticks and Total Response Signals.<br>I really enjoyed this training.</div>]]></description>

I like the practice of using academic vocabulary in speaking and on word walls.          <description><![CDATA[<div>One thing that I found really interesting was how the components of the dual language program and the 7 steps of sheltered instruction are tied together seamlessly and how we can incorporate both of them daily in the classroom. Instead of being two separate ideas, we can join both of them to make content comprehensible while developing students’ academic language in both languages. For  example, one tool that I use in the classroom are content boards. When we review, we refer back to the content boards which have targeted vocabulary and visuals and we have a class discussion where I encourage students to share speaking in complete sentences. </div>]]></description>

This will be my first full year of teaching and I am excited to use the wonderful resources. Content boards could also serve as a reminder at the end of a unit that the kids can access at the end of each unit and review. I will also think more and connect my lessons to the 7 steps.          <description><![CDATA[<div>One of the most interesting things I learned from this training was the research behind the implementation of the dual language programs.  I also appreciate the review of the components of dual language, especially with virtual and face to face examples.   The 7 steps of Sheltered Instruction and the components of the Dual Language Program integrate perfectly and it was helpful to see the connections.   In my teaching I have used some of the steps in combination, but now I'm challenged to incorporate all steps when applicable.   Thank you for this information!</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Some of the interesting discoveries I made going through this section of the course were the many ways to incorporate Sheltered Instruction techniques into a digital classroom. </div><div>Many of the Dual Language components directly coincide with Sheltered Instruction techniques. I also learned how specific practices that I’ve already done in my classroom can be tweaked a little to fully align with Sheltered Instruction recommendations. I have implemented sentence stems and a word wall in my past classrooms. Now, I’ve learned ways to use those tools in a more efficient way and in a digital classroom. </div>]]></description>

         <title>I really learned how you explained all of the dual language components. I especially enjoyed how you gave us different ways to implement them virtually. However, I know what I will have to keep modifying my Canvas in order to make sure I am meeting all of the language requirements. I also liked how you gave us the ideas to use other technology  apps such as Jambord for cooperative groups and &quot;thinglink&quot; for literacy stations. Overall,this has been the best way that the dual language requirements have been explained, despite our virtual teaching method. </title>
