This song really differentiates the difference between one who may live in the city vs. what Chris Mccandless lives which is very country and off the grid. This song says a lot about what they do to survive.

I thought this song represented Chris because he dropped all of his things to live off the grid (which is what the lyrics are saying). it was his life and he wanted to live off the grid so he did it because its HIS life and he definitely wont live forever.
