I think selfies or photos are important for all of us, because sometimes we can forget special moments but with them, we can remember that precious moments. 
Personally I like take photos when I'm with friends or family but sometimes when I'm alone and I look good I take a selfie.
It's interesting because you mention men take more photos than women. Do you really think that?
