I thought that the first section of this chapter was really interesting. I have very little experience with students who have special needs so I found a lot of this material helpful. I think the distinction between students with special needs and students with exceptionalities is very important. That clarification was very helpful. I particularly enjoyed the section that stated, " Technology can provide a voice for students who cannot speak and alternative input modalities for those who cannot see or physically respond in usual ways". I think that it is important that every student has a right to education and utilizing these technology's is an essential part of getting the best out of our students who have special needs

I was especially intrigued by the Word Processor discussed in section 6.2. I think it is absolutely incredible that technology has found a way to give students with severe disabilities an opportunity to write clear, legible documents. It blows my mind that we are capable of creating such things.

This chapter has been eye opening to say the least. I was completely unaware that apple had created different reading apps that included different features that enables all readers to access information. The IBooks Author feature is honestly pretty sweet. By customizing content, teachers can create individual learning experiences for every student.
