In this quote it explains Gatsby's dream to go back to the past and be with Daisy again. This quote shows how Gatsby is showing off the "Wealth" he so badly wanted to have this also ties into his want for daisy by showing off his "Wealth" to her.

In this quote it shows that Gatsby was reaching towards something far off, something in sight but definitely out of reach.
