We tested soap and washing powder. The foam was similar with soap, but with washing powder there was a clear difference. Much greater foam was formed in water without mineral salts, while in hard water there was little foam.

Conclusions:

average number of drops: 28
average number of drops with soap: 14

The shorter the distance the water falls, the greater the chance of the water remaining on the coin.
It's better to add drops from the side, not from the top, so that the drop does not spill.
The slower you add the drops, the more you will add.
Adding soap to water prevents drops from forming.
After weighing the pipette with water, it was lighter than the pipette with soap and water; this is due to the greater density of the soap.

Mini water cycle on a window:

🧪 You'll need:

– a clear ziplock bag,

– some water (can be tinted blue),

– a marker for drawing clouds and sun,

– duct tape and a sunny window ☀️

🔍 What to do:

Pour water into the bag (about 1/3 of the volume)

Draw a sun, clouds, and raindrops

Close the bag and stick it to the window, preferably on the sunny side.

🌈 What will happen?

– The water will begin to evaporate due to the heat

– The water vapor will condense on the walls of the bag (like "clouds")

– Drops will form and roll down like rain! 📸 Take a photo on the first and third day – you'll notice the difference!
