Written in free verse poetry, this book is a fabulous look into the life of an overweight girl who is bullied at school and even her family constantly makes comments about losing weight. The story made me cry and cheer. It's a great look into the feelings of the main character that will forever change your perspective.

The ending of Dinged was amazing and shows how dangerous but fun football is.

Schooled is about an 8th grader that lives with her grandma and is completely like her. Her grandma falls off a plum tree and is hospitalized, making Capricorn (The main character) live with a family friend. Cap goes to school and starts out to be the school dweeb. However, Cap starts to get respected after driving a bus and donating thousands to charity. Cap has a weird personality and a weird thought mindset, but everything works out in the end. I love the book mainly because of how many plot twists there are, and how the main character changes the lives of others.

Isabel is a young gril that lives in Cuba, when her dad is being hunted they decide to flee to Miami Florida. But things took sad turns. Mahmoud is a boy from Aleppo Syria, when is apartment got destroyed they decided to go to Germany but the journey was not easy, things went sideways. Over all this book is a really great book and i think some of you will like it

Although she has a tough life she somehow persists and makes the best out of her situation. We also travel through flashbacks in the book prior to her dad's death. All in all, the book is well written and well thought out.

After several days of sailing, Robie reaches an island and tries to survive when there is a tiger shark in the water. I like this book because it is about survival and anything can happen at any time. The story is very unpredictable.

They go to a different planet to try to get Chase's memory back. They are found by the fleet, who are basically the army of the galaxy. Now, they have the Fleet trying to capture them. They found a man outside their spaceship and took him in. They later know that he was framed for an attack on a planet, and the Fleet considers their top priority, is to capture him. I rate this book a 4 out of 5.

This is Ray's first battle ever, and he doesn't know what to expect. I recommend this book to people who enjoy reading Historical Fiction. I loved reading this book because it kept switching between both Hideki and Ray's perspective. It always left me on a cliffhanger at the end to keep reading!

Grenade is about 2 (basically) boys, one being dragged into a war that he never wanted to be a part of, and the second running away from home to join the Marine Corps. It's a pretty good book, but many parts don't make sense, such as almost every Japanese soldier is overly evil and the Americans are absolute angels compared to the Japanese. But it keeps me entertained and makes me want more, It has something unique because one of the characters steals the show by killing the other main character, thus making the story only told through one perspective. Even with the murder, it is still fun to read as you not constantly bouncing through characters, though it was kind of frustrating because Rey was still a good character. Over all, Grenade by Alan Gratz is a book worth reading and investing your time into.

The early morning went fine until he left to go downstairs and got stuck in the elevator. In Reshmina's perspective, she lives in a village while the Taliban and the USA are fighting. Eventually, the village gets destroyed and has to survive with her family. I like this book because there is a lot of chaos and survival.

Brandon's dad, Leo works on the 107th floor of the World Trade Center. This part of the story takes place on September 11, 2001. The second point of view is on a girl named Reshmina. She lives with a big family in a small village in Afganistan. She has a brother around her age named Pasoon. Their village suddenenly becomes a warzone when the American soliders come to their village and the Taliban. This point of view takes place on September 11, 2019. Why I liked this book is because there were lots of moments that built suspense and wanting me to keep reading the book.

Mia is more ready than anything to go through change, now that her dream has come true. This is one of my favorite books I have read from the Kelly Yang series.

It is interesting as their kids but also boring as the concept was overdone so many times, especially in Alan Gratz's novels as he makes them unrealistic and has to have a teenager as the lead. Although it is still a good read and contains action many people may like. Interestingly, almost every time the characters switch perspectives it's a cliffhanger that makes you want to read more. It also contains a lot of sensory details to help you imagine things even coming with a map! Even though I didn't like it too much while reading it it may be the perfect book for people who read Alan Gratz books before.

This book is a continuation on the first book, "The Inheritance Games". It has amazing characters and story line which made me want to keep on reading. Avery Grambs is a girl who used to sleep in her car and became a multi-billionaire over night. She lives with the Hawthore Family and DNA proves she isn't related to them at all. Her and the Hawthore brothers try to find out why their grandfather, Tobias Hawthore left her so much money. I loved this book a lot since it was such a page turner.

Robie barely escaped the crashing plane just in time with the co-pilot on board Max. They are stuck with nothing, but a bag of Skittles on a raft. This was one of the craziest books I have read, with characters only with candy. The raft begins to sink, and Max is thrown overboard when he is asleep on the raft. Eventually, Robie lands on an Island and she attempts to survive there when she faces a tiger shark. Many unpredictable situations happen throughout this book and I enjoyed reading this book on survival.

I did not find this book extraordinary but it was good. I would rate is a 3/5. If you like nuclear related books with bunkers and all that. I would recommend you to read the book.

This is such and amazing and interesting book for kids who like and don't like sports. Bijan is a sophomore student who plays on the JV team for his school. In a real varsity game, he was a reserve since there weren't enough players. Coach puts him in a game with about 10 minutes left and he had no choice but to shoot the buzzer beater. He makes the shot and next day he becomes a hero in school. Everything starts going his way. Later, an anonymous photo is sent showing him as a terrorist.
