Christians first draft includes the text (written in pencil) and the illustrations. He successfully completed five pages. Christian used inventive spelling, however it was logical and I was able to read and understand everything he wrote. His informational book covers five sports; Soccer, Baseball, Basketball, Racing (track/cross country), and Football.

For editing, Christian focused on two things. Both of these things found in the first two pages of his book. During his first draft, Christian did not add an author on his cover page, so during editing, we added his name, "By: Christian". He was very excited during this process because it made him feel as if he were truly an author, which he now is! He then added an entire sentence to his second page about Soccer. My example semantic map was on basketball, as this was a great interest of his. He actually included basketball as one of the sports in his semantic map because he enjoys basketball so much. For christians semantic map, his original thoughts are in the green and blue color. He then added to his map using red.
