Pear Deck is an interactive presentation extension tool that is used to engage students in individual and social learning. Teachers can use and create presentations using Google Slides and Google Drive.

Pros: It is versatile, colorful, and easy to engage students in technology. The answers can be anonymous, but they can also put their names on it. You can sound, the kids can draw on the interactive slides, and overall you can do a lot of fun and unique activities.

Cons: The student will need to make an account in order to interact with the slides, and each student would need access to some sort of technology. There is also a limited number of slides to choose from if you do not want to pay for premium.

Benefits for young kids: I would like to teach first graders, and even though I am more comfortable with this extension, I think it works better for a third grade and above level. I do not know a lot of first graders that have access to technology such as phones or laptops, unless they are provided by the school.

ClassFlow is used to deliver engaging lessons and assessments, from an internet connected device. The registration for ClassFlow is free. It allows teachers to send out polls to the class and they can instantly see the responses.

Pros: Supports a wide variety of interactive activities and lessons. Students can work from nearly any device.

Cons: The user experience is not completely intuitive, so it may take time to create and teach confidently.

Benefits for young children: I feel like that if it is difficult for a teacher to potentially navigate, then it definitely will not effectively keep a first graders attention. If things aren't constantly moving, they are going to lose interest.

Buncee

Buncee is a multimedia platform that allows a multitude of templates to use. Buncee allows students to visualize, voice, and communicate their learning. They have a resource library to access, the children can earn badges as a reward, and they can chat with each other.

Pros: There are many templates to choose from. You can make your own, or use a pre-created one. You can add sound, videos, and hand-drawn images.

Cons: There's a lot of features that come with a cost. There is only a certain amount of templates that do not cost money. The boards can also get cluttered really quickly if it is not managed.

Benefits for young children: Out of the three I chose, I think this one would work best for first grade. Given that they have access to technology, they can comment and draw on the templates you are showing them. This one also does not need to be interactive for students, in terms of them having devices. You can put a fun presentation up on the board.
