People will tell you how great Mac is compared to Windows and how Windows is better than Mac time and time again, but that doesn't really help you! After identifying your needs, I would also recommend getting a computer geared towards your type of cellular device. Granted, Apple does a very well job of incorporating many features into their computers, they also incorporate their own systems for things like Microsoft Office. That's why instructions tend to be created for MAC users specifically as it is a different process from all other computers. 

I personally have a Toshiba Satellite laptop and I enjoy it very much. It is very simple, and easy to use.
