Pg.12 "My family owned the Cook Coffeehouse. The soon-to-be famous Cook Coffeehouse liked to say." I like this quote because this shows that even senior citizens still have dreams.
Pg. 15 "Eliza said nobody could tell her what to do or where to go, and no one would ever, ever beat her again." I like this quote because this shows how happy Eliza was to be able to fear for her life as much as she did in the past.
Pg. 23 "Dead? Polly's dead? I couldn't have properly." This quote is important because it first introduced the illness to the story

When I saw this book, I did not expect it to be about what it was about. I also believed that I would not like this book. I liked how the book seemed realistic. The author made it seem as if the characters were people that she knew.
