Hans Scholl was born in Ingersheim, Germany on September 22, 1918. Growing up, Hans was a member of the Hitler Youth. Before the war, Hans Scholl was known for being active in the Hitler youth. He climbed his way up the ladder to the rank of Fähnleinführer. Hans Scholl first became involved in resistance activities because he saw how the nazi treated the jewish and knew it wasn’t right. They were part of The White Rose. Growing up, Hans Scholl experienced being a homosexual, and being arrested for it. The rise of the Nazi regime in 1942 led Hans Scholl to found the white rose group. In conclusion, Hans Scholl had a strong belief in human rights which led them to resist the Holocaust.

They entered the building whilst most of the students were attending lectures. They took a large number of leaflets from the suitcase and put them in prominent positions.
