You should start a recycling program in Reeds Spring because if you do not recycle you are doing more harm than good. When you don't recycle you are contributing to overflowing landfills, water pollution, air pollution, depleting natural resources, and much more. Pollution causes harm to animals all over the world, on land and in the ocean. Even if we are just a very small portion of the contributors to pollution we could still make a small difference. I was taught to do the right thing even when nobody's watching so why cant the district do that too?

Dear Mr Carpenter and Mr Theobald, we should start recycling instead of just throwing away our “trash”. There are many reasons we should recycle, one of them is that a lot of the stuff that gets thrown away on a day-to-day basis can be recycled or be reused/repurposed, like for example the milk cartons we get at lunch, if you open the tops all the way and rinse them out you can use them as small pots for sprouting/just growing plants for either science or the green house. Another thing is paper, we use paper about every single day and it just gets thrown away but it would be far better for the environment to recycle/reuse it, like many people have shredded the paper and turned it into new homemade paper. If we start recycling, maybe word will spread and other schools will follow in our footsteps, finally taking the step to help save our planet.

I think we should recycle because it helps the environment, and why not? While it may be difficult at the beginning, it can help future generations, and if its a “Well start a recycling program in the future.” Why not now? Why Didn't we start one years ago?
