Do you think social media (facebook, twitter, instagram, etc) is helping to combat racism? How?"

Answer: It indeed is helping. When recording was not something so common, cases of racism were being hidden from the society very frequently. I think that with the recordings getting more and more common, a lot of people started to realize how bad and serious racism was and helped to fight against it.

Question: Do you think social media (facebook, twitter, instagram, etc) is helping to combat racism? How? Nowadays social media are the main channels of news, informations. So, I think that social media is helping to combat racism through information about black people's struggle, such as how important this is. With black digital influencers talking about. Unfortunately, there is the negative side, on wich people use the internet to commit crimes, such as racist comments. As Will Smith said: ´´Racism is not getting worse, its getting filmed``. The internet gives visibility to various issues and talking about racism through it, we can raise people's awareness. Think of one action that could help in the fight against systemic racism. Answer: One action that could help is more black people (especially black women) in the government. They could help to start and continue a change in the racism system. In our case, now in the elections for "vereadores", we can vote in someone black. Who knows in the future a black woman president?
