My parents pick my name because they found it very unique and different. my mother came up with the first part in my father came up with the second part I have a two part first name in both of them are Swahili. I believe my name is very powerful and I do love the meaning of my name. The power of the ancestors is the spiritual, cultural, or mystical impact that past generations have on their descendants. I love the most about my name that it’s so unique.

Mac & cheese is probably one of my number one foods . I eat it every year for Thanksgiving and my cousin used to make the mac & cheese so very well every year it is a part of our family traditions to have macaroni and cheese on the table at all times for Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a holiday in the United States and Canada where people give thanks for the harvest and the good things from the past year. And with that we eat mac & cheese every year

Every year before Christmas me and my family take a Christmas picture .! we have been doing it for almost 7 years now and we take pictures and matching pajamas. We also make them into live pictures so you can see what was going on trying to make pictures. I believe my bonus mother made this a tradition so every year we can see how much we’ve grown and also of the simple fact of keeping people in the jolly and Holly Spirit for the holiday.

I would have to say my hero is probably my grandmother I love my grandmother to death she is like my best friend she has done so much for me and taught me so much I really am inspired by her my grandmother has to be my biggest role model and I strive to be like my grandmother my grandmother does nothing but teach me new things and she’s a wonderful grandmother and I hope to become a wonderful grandmother to my grandchildren one day as my grandmother was to me my grandmother has taught me so many things in womanhood and with boys and in life. And she has made me who I am today and I appreciate it so much so my grandmother is most definitely my hero from saving me from things That has happened on my life also.

Holidays in my family are often very fun I usually have two Christmases though because my parents are not together my father side has more of a Christmas than my mother side because some of the family on my mother side are Muslim but on my father side we always gift exchange or Christmas and then eat dinner every year but on my mother side I just take the gifts for my mother and my grandmother and the rest of the family sits tight because they are Muslim they do not celebrate the holiday.

I always wear black because that is my favorite color to wear but I am now hoping that I will grow out of black because black is a very dark color but for the last couple of years I have been wearing straight up black and nothing else I do like hoodies but I’m also trying to grow out of hoodies too and open my eyes some more options of clothing to wear but as of now my favorite thing to wear is probably black hoodie.

Travel

Before Covid started me and my family took a lot of trips places we went to Cuba Mexico Brazil Curaçao and more places but ever since then we have not been out the country I do have a constant place that me and my family go to most of the time because my grandmother owns a house up in New York so me and my family travel back from New York sometimes and that would be a traveling moment for me and my family a lot.

My great grandfather is Hosea williams and my grandmother is the eldest daughter of Hosea Williams my grandmother‘s name is Dr. Barbara Williams Emerson . My great grandfather was a civil rights activist in a science edentulous he was one of Martin Luther King‘s very closest friends unfortunately I never got to meet Hosea williams but I’ve heard that he has done a lot of things and I’ve seen the proof of him doing a lot of great things

A good quote that means a lot to me is strength is what we gain from the madness we survive because I believe that is very powerful. I believe that people go through a lot of things in life, but do not realize it makes them stronger.. I would probably say my second food would be peach cobbler I think making peach cobbler is one of the things I’ve done most in life . I have made peach cobbler almost every Christmas is Christmas not Thanksgiving.. that’s what makes it different to me because I make peach cobbler on Christmas and not Thanksgiving and I started learning how to make peach cobbler when I was about seven years old.

I am from Georgia. I grew up in Stone Mountain Georgia, but as I got older, I moved on to live in Ellenwood, Georgia, and somehow I found myself back where in Stone Mountain my mother is from Georgia but my grandmother on my mother side is from Chicago and she grew up in New Orleans. My father grew up in Queens, New York. My grandmother on my father side grew up in Asbury Park, Georgia. I am fully African-American, but I do believe I have a quarter of Indian in me. I believe it is Cherokee Indian, but I am not very sure.
