This group's experiment surprised me the most as it was very random yet very useful. Stationary such as erasers don't really matter on how many times you need to use it to run out but it eventually all adds up to a certain amount of money. I learned that Mono was the best brand.

A moment when my classmates' presentation surprised me was when Brenden & Josiah found out that the most popular brand is not always the best when it comes to marker brands.

This experiment surprised me since I always used Elmer's Purple and I thought that since it is the most popular and well-known brand, it would perform the best, but the result came out to be the Home Depot glue was the best, which surprised me.

Comparing Brand Alcohol Markers - Moon and Alice

Alice and Moon's surprised me as the results were different than I expected. I thought Copic would be the best value. I learned that Copic was the best blending brand, but also the most expensive so it had less value. Welokb markers are the best in value, as they are cheap and good in blending. It's useful to know for artists who need good markers for blending and coloring.

This experiment surprised me and taught me something new: lip stain lasts longer than traditional lipstick.

This group surprised me because I never really gave much thought as to what kind of hair tie brands I use. But thanks to Kayla and Sophia, I learned that SYGY may be a cheap brand but it has a sturdy material and is a comfortable wear.

One presentation that surprised me was the shoe testing because at first I didn't know how they were going to test the shoe brand. But, they found a very clever way which was testing the traction while measuring the angle at which it fell from. I also learned that the New Balance shoes are the best brand with the most traction.

The project I was surprised by was Enzo and Jalen's. The measured the traction 3 shoe brands had on their shoes. The best brand was New Balance's shoes because of the traction they had were the best. Shoe traction may not be a big deal to most people, but it can prevent a lot of slipping and falling accidents, which their presentation taught me about. I wasn't expecting someone to do something like this as most people stuck with the easier things to measure like erasers and paper towels. Great job!

One moment that surprised me was when New Balance shoes had the most traction. One thing I learned from it is that the most popular brands don't mean the best.

One group that surprised me was Brandon and Jaylen's group, which was testing candies. This surprised me because Skittles are more mainstream and more expensive, but surprisingly, they had the least amount of candy in a bag, showing that the expensive ones aren't always the best.

I felt like Brandon and Jaylen's project on candy value was really scientific and they captured all from opening the candy bag to counting the candy. They showed everything they needed to and had a good slideshows and I also liked that they used gloves when counting so the candy wasn't dirty.

This presentation surprised me the most because it was very insightful. I now know which pen to get in the future that will also smudge the least.

This group impressed me because of how they used expensive lipsticks for this experiment. I also loved how they showcased great lipstick brands, so now I know which brands to trust. This presentation was explained well. Now I know what brands to use in the future that will give promising results.

I really liked how they did their experiments. Their slides were very organized and clean. The points they made were very clear and easy to understand. The video was also good as they explained how they found their data. Their project helped me to find a better buy for hair ties.

A presentation I really found interesting was Nathalia and Ellan's. A strength in their experiment was that they made sure to add everything they needed in their slides and data. The information was also really interesting because I always make mistakes when using tape so I would want to buy the tape brand that doesn't pull off the paper when you try to take it off.

The presentation that surprised me the most was the test comparing marker brands by Dylan and Oliver. I usually use Papermate markers because they don't bleed through paper like sharpies do. That is why I was surprised that it wasn't the best out of the 3 brands, Sharpie, Papermate, and Crayola.

I think the idea testing lipstick is unique, I think they planned out their test really good, even folded the paper into blocks to kiss them and record precise data.

One group that surprised me was Group 12, consisting of Samhita and Diana. Their project was based on determining which brand of color pencil would have the most pigmentation. I hypothesized that Crayola would have more pigmentation, but they proved that Prismacolor showed more pigmentation.

I liked this group because they were very clear, and I liked their video. I can also make sure I am buying good hair ties now because of them.

Was a well put presentation with an efficient way of explaining the data. Something that surprised me was that Office Depot did the best. I thought Elmer's would do the best as it is the most popular brand of glue. I also have never heard of Office Depot, but now I know if I want a reliable glue stick I will make sure to purchase Office Depot.

This group's presentation surprised me because of their detailed information and their amazing example video. They put all of their summarized procedure in the video which easily and clearly informed the audience about their experiment and made their project "surprising" .

One moment during my classmate's presentation that surprised me, is how well their presentation was put together because their presentation fully followed the rubric and the order of the slides was correct.

This group surprised me because I always hated the fact when my ink pen smudges but never really thought about it too much until they presented it. Now I know what pen I should buy.

Their presentation was memorable as it had detailed data and analysis. While their video had some background noise, their video was simple. I liked the idea of using badminton rackets since I play tennis, which also has rackets. The reflection on their presentation has the most positive feedback out of the ten.

This presentation was the one that stood out to me the most. At first, I had no idea how they were going to test badminton rackets and how far the birdie travels after landing on the racket. However, their way of experimenting was really unique as they dropped a birdie from a specific height onto the racket. I was also surprised by how much good tennis rackets cost.

This group's presentation surprised me because they used 5 independent variables instead of one. The requirement for the project was only 3 independent variables but they used 5 which allows the group to collect even more data than usual. It was surprising how they tested it because they cut the tissues while other people who did this experiment did the whole one so doing 3 inch ones were cool. and now I know which tissues have the best soaking power at 3 inches.

One presentation that surprised me is one done by Hondi, Ricky, and Xinyue. They had a language barrier when they had to do this presentation and aced it. I wouldn't say it was really good but it is challenging with that barrier. They were sort of organized and even thought of new topics to talk about the chips. I was surprised when they showed the video to us, right before lunch. I think he whole class felt hungry at that time. In conclusion, it was a very good lab done by these people.

A presentation that surprised me was Aiden's and Quentin's. They compared erasers for efficiency. The way they tested the erasers was fair. They tested the erasers by using the same number of strokes to see how much they erase. They bought brands that most people get, so it shows us which were worth getting. Their project is comparing candies. I thought M&M's was the best quantity compared to Sour Patch Kids & Skittles. My hypothesis about comparing candies was wrong, The Skittles has the best quantity.

The group that I chose is Gavin and Greysons group. This surprised me because I thought that nutter butter was not going to perform well because it is a bigger cookie compared to the other brands. But surprisingly, it ended up being the best brand, outnumbering oreo's and chips ahoy.

This group's presentation was overall pretty good and they didn't have a lot of major faults in their experiment. Honestly, they basically had a better version of my group's presentation and when I realized their experiment was very similar to mine, it surprised me. Looking back at my own experiment. I've always hated the smudge of pens especially when highlighting the ink. Their presentation definitely gave me some insight.

A presentation that surprised me was Hayley and Jessie's presentation of Comparing Chopstick Brands Project. I was surprised by how creative their way of testing was. I enjoyed Gloria and Deborah's presentation which was "Testing Glue Sticks for Strongest Adhesive". Their presentation was well organized which made it easy to understand. I was surprised to know that the strongest glue stick brand is Amazon Basics because it is not a brand known for school supplies. I wish the presentation included ways to make their data more accurate for everyone because not everyone applies gluesticks the same way. This presentation was useful because it taught me to not judge a product before testing it because it might perform better than you thought.

Comparing highlighters and testing of they smudge.

This group stood out to me because they all projected very well. They spoke straight into the microphone while looking at the class. You could tell that they practiced and organized it. I learned which highlights to buy now, thanks to that group!

I feel like Payton, Jasmin, and Aimee's project was very well done. They explained very well and it was clear what they were testing. They tested highlighters and which would smear the least. I learned that the Mr. Pen highlighter is better because it doesn't smear as much as the others they tested.

Valeria and DD tested which brands of glue sticks could hold the most weight. I thought that the way of testing it was really creative, and there were also no flaws with the procedure and the experiment design. This is because none of the data could have been altered in any way.

Title: Comparing Brands For Erasers Project

Nathan and Cameron's presentation listed the brand that performed the best and the brand that was the most cost effective out of the three erasers. Imperial performed the best with 0.1 more points than Papermate, but it was 3.5 times more expensive than Papermate, so Papermate would be the best for wanting a good quality eraser for less money. The Bazic eraser brand performed the worst. Overall, the presentation's contents were great with a nice design.

I like Tiffany's, and Stella's presentation about comparing the quality of the papers for paper airplanes. Something that surprises me the most is that the line paper airplane flew the furthest since it is the lightest. I've learned that, even though the line paper isn't the sturdiest compared to other papers, it is still the lightest which gives it the advantage of flying the furthest.

Their presentation was very detailed and organized. All of their slides were visually appealing and easy to understand. They had a clear objective and organized their data nicely. Their project helped me know what brands of pencil sharpening would be the best. What surprised me was that the best performing pencil sharpener was actually pretty inconvenient to use. Overall, their project was nice.

The group I chose was Derek & Shayesta , and they were testing brands of sponges. This project was informational cause I guessed that scrub Daddy would be the best sponge cause I use it at home and it does pretty good. My guess was wrong and scrub daddy was the worst performing even though it was the most expensive. I learned that the most expensive doesn't always equal the best quality. I would like to learn more about the process of testing and how long it took. Overall the project was very nice and I learned something.

I believe that this group has done well. Their topic was comparing eraser brands and seeing which one was the best. I chose this group because their slides were decent. It was nice how they used a bar graph because it showed their data well. There were some other groups that did not choose the best graph. This resulted in their data getting mixed. However, this group's graph was better.

I chose Jamie and Grace's group because whenever I use tape to tape my paper, I always use duct tape, will sticks the most, but the painter's tape is the best since it doesn't rip my paper.

A moment where it surprised me when I learnt that airplanes can be superior to others when it is lighter. I myself, never thought that it weight counts when making paper airplanes since I often only have the angles of the plane in mind when making them.

Their experiment was really good. I was surprised that instead of just testing what paper is supposed to be for, (writing), They creatively made paper airplanes out of different brands of papers. They then measured how far each brand of paper airplanes actually would fly. They also used a really clever way to measure their paper airplane distances. They used a measuring tape, so they could measure the distance, even if it flew really far.

Their slides were very clean and had nice graphics. I personally liked their testing strategy for their erasing test. They measured the effectiveness of the product by creating a scale of lightness of the pencil markings left. They surprised me by showing how good the Imperial brand of eraser was compared to the others, such as Bazic. I learned that the lighter pink eraser erases more efficiently.

The topic of testing Bandmontin rackets was fascinating, and they also presented it very well. I was wondering how they would test the rackets, and the method they used was very intriguing.

Jessie and Hayley did a good job explaining their procedures and their data. There video was clear and easy to hear and understand. They made their own slides. I could tell that they were prepared. Additionally, their idea was creative and no one else did that. Overall, I found their presenetation interesting and enjoying to listen to.

They tested chopsticks and overall, I think it is a really creative idea. I didn't expect anyone to think of this topic. Even when they ran into the problem of not having enough water bottles and had to wait until the next day, they still finished on time. When they explained it, I found it easy and fast to understand. There is not much that could have thrown off the data. I enjoyed watching their persentation and video.

I think the Moon and Alice team did a great job, testing ten sets of each marker and analyzing both price and practicality.

Noah and Nathaniel were doing which cookie brand was the best. They were very creative with their presentation. The video was fire because they edited it to be very funny, which honestly made my day from stressing and crashing out. But if I were to choose their best brand from my prediction or choice, I would always choose Oreo.

They compared hand-crank pencil sharpeners and determined which one was worth your money. Their slideshow was put together well. We could see all the information clearly. I also liked how they considered the sharpness of the pencils and how they felt while sharpening. The video was very clear, and so were the procedures. Each person seemed to contribute a fair amount to this project. I learned that the more expensive pencil sharpeners are not always going to be the best ones.

I liked their presentation "Comparing Glue Stick Brands for Drying Speeds" the best because it was very clear what they were doing and the experiment was set up fairly. Their slideshows were also organized and neat. I learned that prices don't always determine quality, and I would like to know what gave them the idea to test out glue stick brands.

This group had comprehensive and easy-to-understand presentations, though the text size could have been a little bigger, since it was hard to read. I learned that a brand that I had never even heard of before had the best result, which was surprising. It really goes to show that the most popular or expensive brand is not always the best choice. However, I would have liked to go more in-depth on the presentation, and know more about the tissue brands.

I think this group of pens is the best for me. They tested which brand of pen dries the fastest and prevents smudging. This is very helpful for me, because I often buy pens that have these problems; from now on, I'll buy the brand that performed best in their tests.

Their project would be very helpful to girls because most girls will use lipsticks eventually.

Ellan and Nathalia's presentation was very organized, and was easy to follow. Their video showed a better understanding of their experiment. Not only was the presentation good, but the concept was very helpful. They did their presentation on different brands of tapes, informing me which brand of tape sticks the most, and is the best buy.

One thing that surprised me was that Crayola markers were the best performing because I didn't think that out of all of the markers it would be the best. I learned that Posca won't bleed through papers.

Testing the best washable marker.

This presentation surprised me because they put a lot of effort and time into this project. To test the best washable marker, they had to wash their hands more than 30 times. I imagine this project was very time-consuming, and it surprised me when they first presented it. I'm a little skeptical if this was the best way to test the markers. The reason for this is that skin isn't the same as actual fabric. They put a marker on their hand and then washed it. This project might've gotten different results if they had used actual fabric.

One thing that surprised me was that the CARL sharpener had the lowest average despite being the most expensive sharpener. Something I learned is that just because something is expensive, it doesn't mean that it is the best quality. I liked how this group's presentation was well put together. Group - Azusa, Isabella

The topic which they did experimented on surprised me as it was quite unique and creative. Their topic was about which brand rubber band could stretch the farthest without breaking. Also, their slides were neat and carefully done with a video of them showing all the procedures. I would also know that all rubber bands of a brand made of the same amount of rubber or not and if not what to do make the experiment fair for the brand.

I liked Dwights and Marvin's presentation, they had good information and was really helpful. I thought that their experiment was very effective and it helped me learn the best brand of whiteout tape for the price.

This presentation is good because the presenters explained the test through the slide clearly. Their experiment is fun and easy to done. Their slide is well decorated and the data is clear.

Group project title: Comparing brands of chips for out project.

I was really shock that tasting wasn't being tested and it was instead the amount of chips was in a bag which in their conclusion was hot Cheetos which had the most chips.

Group Evaluated: Nathaniel and Noah

When Nathan and Noah did their presentation, I thought to myself, "another normal presentation." But when they showed their video, it was hilarious. There were so many memes in the video. The presentation was overall not particularly useful, but the video was amusing. I could even watch it again if I want because it is posted on YouTube. I learned that Twist & Shout was better than Oreo. I didn't know that Back to Nature even existed.

Group: Alice Zhu, Moon L - Comparing Marker Brands

From their experiment I learned which alcohol marker is the most blendable and easiest to work with. I think this project is very useful for people who like art since how the marker blends is important for the quality of it. The brand that performed the best at the end was Copic. But, I wonder if the Copic performed the best since the colors used were lighter.

Their experiment topic is the very special one and also DANGER. They are testing which brand of rubber band could stretch the farthest without breaking it, which was pretty cool that they can finish the experiment by not hurting themselves. I learned how to launch a rubber band without hurting your hands.

This group surprised me because their slides are particularly good and extremely concise.The division of labor in the group is also particularly clear.I particularly like the video made by their group,because there is no noise in their video.Their project can help us choose laundry detergent better.

I really liked this presentation because it was clear and easy to follow. The group spoke loudly and with confidence, which made it engaging to listen to. I also thought the topic about testing markers was really useful since teachers and students use them all the time. The way they organized their information made it simple to understand, and it showed they worked well together as a team.

I think Nathan and Cameron did a great job because their slides were very neat and easy to understand at a glance. They also gave a good presentation. They compared which eraser left a cleaner impression. Their video was also very good. Overall, the presentation content was great and the upgrade was also good.

I liked their presentation, specifically their video because it was not just about how they did their experiment but also I can tell they put a lot of effort in editing it and I enjoyed that it was amusing and humorous to the audience. I learned that testing chocolate sandwich cookies can help you become a smart shopper by getting the decent quality with the best buy.

The group that surprised me the most is Jaylen and Brandon's Candy Lab experiment, because when they were testing, I predicted that the Skittles would be the best since they are the most expensive and the most popular, and later, after seeing the results, the skittles had the least per bag. Which shows that the more expensive doesn't mean more or better of something.

I was impressed by this demonstration. Their data and the final video were very detailed. The video also compared the height of the badminton falling on the badminton racket, which made me think that their team was very creative.

Their presentation was very organized and neat. I appreciate how their video was hilarious and engaging, yet still stayed on task. They spoke very clearly and enunciated. I predicted Twist and Shout would be the best cookie, and learned which cookie brand to buy for the best deal.

The presentation was probably the best one in the call due to its near-perfect analysis of data. The video was also analyzed very well, featuring straightforward experiments and recorded data. All in all, the presentation was a masterpiece.

The experimentation was great with the method used for calculating the value of each cookie by dividing the weight of the cookie by the price of each cookie. The video is surprising with the amount of effort with the editing. The video was the most unique part of their project.

I chose to evaluate this groups project, because I liked the fun idea of measuring and counting how many pieces of candy Reese's and M&M's gave in the box, and to see which one was more worth your money. I learnt that knowing which brand of candy gives more for your money is good for saving more money and being a smart shopper. It was interesting to see that M&M was worth more for your money.

I really enjoyed their presentation because they were really dedicated to their slides, especially their video. Their video was edited really well, and it made the whole class laugh. Their video was really funny, engaging, but it was also super straightforward and gave us answers and data for their experiment.

Group 9: Zori & Adelina

I think that their experiment was the best one because it can be regularly used in the real world, and it surprised me. They tested which brands of candy had the most pieces. They did this by buying boxes of candy and manually counting how many pieces were in each. The part that surprised me was the manual counting, as each ended up having over a hundred pieces. With 3 trials per brand, they manually counted about 900 pieces of candy. What I could learn from this experiment is that Reese's Pieces is the brand with the most pieces in them. I could use this information in the future if I need to get the most or least amount of candy.

I liked Eric and Bob's they did good but I think they should have stayed on topic their talking about and I think hot wheels were the best because its a known brand.

I liked Tyler and Nicholas presentation because it was organized and good.

I learned that a whole bag of Takis is heavier than the other hot chip brands.

I would like to know how the chip bags were weighted.

They compared hand-crank sharpeners, and honestly, it was super detailed. Everything was explained really clearly, and their slideshow was put together perfectly. Their procedures were smooth and easy to follow, and they did a great job explaining the sharpness of the pencils. One thing I didn’t know before I actually learned that pencil sharpeners can be pretty expensive! Overall, they did a fantastic job, and it really showed in their presentation.

I really liked Kevin and Seamus because I liked seeing which tissue absorbency between the different brands. I learned that Signature Select performed the best. I would like to know how they picked their bands.

They were very clear and had a good, easily understandable presentation with a testing method that was effective. I learned that Signature Select is the most absorbent brand compared to Kleenex and Puffs, and that the most expensive brand doesn't mean it's the best or most effective. I would've liked to know more about other attributes of the tissues, like comparing size or toughness, or for the group to tell us a little more about the tissues/be more thorough in their presenting.

The presentation was on Chopstick brands seeing how many water bottles can a chopstick hold up. This presentation stood out to me because their slides were very creative and cute. Also the video was very clear.

Group: Kyle, Mateen, Zin

Their project was interesting because all their procedures were very specific, even the amount of times they cranked the pencil. Also, I thought pencil sharpeners were the same but there was actually a visible difference in the amount of led sharpened.

Something I learned new from their experiment was that according to the result of their project, Office Depot glue has better stick.

Group: Quentin, Aiden comparing different erasers brands efficiently.

I learned that not all erasers erase the same some are slow and not really efficient and probably the more expensive one erase better but in some cases the cheaper one could do and I was surprised that the most was not the most efficient.

This presentation surprised me the most because it had a lot of good thoughts. After all, when stretching the rubber band, it can hurt once it breaks, but instead of hurting their hands, they would use gloves to protect them. One thing i learned from this presentation is using a keychain can hold the rubber band istead of 2 people both stretching it

A moment when my classmate's presentation surprised me was when I evaluated Ryan Z and Ryan C. I was surprised by how many gummy bears they had to count, as it was at least 100. From their presentation, I learned that Haribo has a lot of gummies and is a good choice.

A moment when a classmate's presentation surprised me was when this group played their video. It was very well edited and funny, so I was impressed. Not only that, but their idea was creative (whiteout quality), their presentation was appealing and understandable, and they included connection to real life. I learned that Mono was the best, even though I thought Paper Mate would perform the best since I really like their pens.

I thought that the way they recorded and tested the data was accurate and an effective way of testing the data. I found it reliable and actually seemed useful towards the topic.

Although they are both from ELD, I am really surprised that they managed to complete most of the work for this project. They might have used a translator for much of their work, but it’s still impressive. From this project, I’ve learned that no matter how difficult a language barrier is, you should always try your best and keep going.

I think they did really good presenting and I learned that the most expensive brand is not always the best brand. I found that Staples is the best glue stick to buy over all.

Crystal's and Erie's Presentation for comparing potato chip brands - I learned which potato chip brand has more chips and is worth it to buy. I love chips so this is super nice and helpful.
