         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li> Who: </li></ul><ol><li>General George Washington</li><li>17,000 French and Continental Troops</li><li>British General Lord Charles Cornwallis </li><li>9,000 British troops,</li></ol><ul><li>When: Sept. 28 - Oct. 19, 1781</li><li>Where: Peninsula at Yorktown, Virginia</li><li>What: Is that Cornwallis surrendered to General George Washington at Yorktown, Virginia. This was a victory for the combined force of American Continental Army troops.</li><li>Why: Eventually George Washington as French and American forces,  trapped the British and their General at Yorktown. Also, the Comte de Rochambeau agreed to attack Lord Cornwallis and his smaller army of 9,000 men which, was stationed in the port town of Yorktown, Virginia.</li><li>How: A couples day after October 14, then the British began peace negations shortly after the American victory. </li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>
