We saw seals, otters, sea lions, egrets, pelicans, sea slugs, and- a 🐳 ! He was far out but we could see the spray coming out of his blowhole. Amazing and beautiful weather, the water was turquoise and rolling in huge waves. I gave a brief history on how Knott's came to be. We had a great day and after we split up, I saw most of the families throughout the day. We met at the summit and explored the visitor's center.  There was great information about how the mountain was formed, and the wildlife that live there. We took in the amazing views on the observation deck, and stopped to play in the rocks and wind caves at "Rock City".
