My proudest moment was when I managed to create lyrics from scratch for the GarageBand pop song.
I always thought that writing up creative lyrics was a very difficult task for me, because not only had I never done such a thing before but also because I did not think that I had much of a imagination an ability to create something entirely new and unique. Hence, I felt accomplished when I finished creating these lyrics and these gave me new insight into my strengths and abilities.

With respect to my goals, what was my greatest challenge?
My greatest challenge was learning the ukulele. I only have a slight music background, having taken and quit learning piano after my Grade 1 examination because I disliked learning the instrument. Therefore, having to re-familiarize myself with musical notes and then applying this knowledge to learn a new musical instrument was very challenging for me. However, it was a meaningful process because I have learned to appreciate playing music more and I have also picked up the basics of a new skill, which can never be a bad thing.

I really enjoyed creating my pencil vs camera artwork. It is something I have never tried before and I want to create more artwork like this in the future. I think surrealism is interesting, not only because it is a unique concept, but also because of its impact on cultural and societal ideals. The use of surrealism for creative expression is also something that I want to explore further.

I feel that the addition method was the simplest and most basic to do but I don't really like the effect it produces.
Using the cubist method is the most difficult for me as I haven't really grasped the concept of layering so the different angles are clear. I prefer the cupcakes made by my teacher because I like that the obvious taste and smell of the butter in my teacher's cupcakes is more obvious. In the cupcakes my partner made, the taste of the butter is more masked by the cocoa powder. My teacher's cupcakes are also more moist than my partner's cupcakes, hence it has a smoother mouth feel.

I have used the kneading method to make pizza dough.
Reflect on the practical test session.
Were you able to manage time? 
I was able to manage my time fairly well as I had sufficient time to finish baking and then plating my dish. I think I could have improved so that I could get more of my washing done.
Did you face difficulties?  How did you overcome them?
Yes. Firstly, I put too little water in the yeast mixture and the dough came out too dry. I received help from my teacher who told me to add more tap water to the dough so that it would have a sticky texture. The next difficulty I faced was when I added cut raspberries to my dough to add flavour to my pizza crust. As the cut raspberries were very pulpy and produced a lot of juice, it made the dough very wet and hard to roll out. I overcame this by continuously kneading the dough so that the raspberries were buried inside the dough and the outer surface of the dough was relatively dry and non-sticky. This made it easier to roll the dough out later on.
How would you have done it differently?
I would have added blueberries to the dough instead of raspberries as blueberries do not need to be cut and they would not produce as much pulp and juice as the raspberries did. This would have cut down the time I spent kneading the dough.
Additionally, I would have used only half of the dough I made for the pizza crust, as I think my pizza crust came out too thick and I wanted it to be thinner.

How useful were the nutritional tools?
They were effective in helping me to decide how to modify my practical dish to make it healthier.
How manageable were the manipulative skills for you?
Yes. They were simple to execute once the teacher had demonstrated them. The most difficult one out of all three for me was the creaming method.
How purposeful were the investigative activities in helping you come up with your final creation?
I would say the investigative activities were purposeful as it have me multiple options when it came to deciding what dish I wanted to create. So once I completed all the investigative activities I realised I had a preference for making pizza, and thus this helped me come up with the idea of making a fruit pizza.
