Very informational, especially for a district that does not have a large EL population. It’s great to know the supports available and how that process looks. One of my favorite field experiences was in an EL classroom in the St. Cloud district. The kids were eager to learn!

I learned the difference between CALPs and BICs. I didn’t realize how much of a difference or gap there can be in a school district, with ML students and the general population of students. Very enlightening presentation and kind of an eye opener… helped me gain more insight into that there’s much more behind the scenes than what we see on the surface. Thanks!
