Being in such a welcoming place that encourages originality and singing with passion was very inspiring to someone like me who is used to singing only in a choir setting where you want everyone in the choir to be the same in a sense. Learning how to really "rock out" and sing as an individual increased my singing ability and reignited my passion for singing in groups. Sometimes singing as "one voice" as you would in a traditional choir setting seems restricting and more uniform. Mark Wood brought us individuality and re energized our choir to make a unique sound and dance experience for all of us. I personally was lucky enough to have a solo during the performance and It was a truly euphoric. This concert was like nothing I have ever experienced before, Lora and Mark challenged me to be my own performer and find my own voice. In this concert we as a choir had to re-event our sound, allow us to all be individuals in one large group. I want to thank them and everyone who helped make this event such a success. I think that this concert really helped me adapt movement into my singing. While we were preparing and rehearsing for the performance Nathan Blake , the choreographer, made the whole experience and dance routines enjoyable and easy to understand. The videos that Laura and Nathan posted for learning purposes, were really helpful  for preparing for the concert. I also really enjoyed how encouraging Laura, Nathan, and Mark were throughout the entire process. That lesson is to be yourself when singing even in a group, for the fact that when we are in a big choir we sometimes happen to form into that one person that the choir needs and lose ourselves in the way. Having the ability to sing with a large choir and yet maintain originality was such a unique opportunity. I am a big classic rock fan and we don't normally get the chance to sing songs like "Crazy Train" and "Carry On My Wayward Son" in a traditional high school choir.
