We would get a packet of words to memorize every week,  but I would never even look at it when I got it, I thought that I was smart enough to not study with it. When I got my packet for the week that day, I put it in my folder without looking at how complicated the words were, words that I have never seen in my life. When we were starting the test I felt confident like always and beleived that the words were easy. When the test started the teacher said the first word, I didn't know how to spell it so I guessed and figured that the next one would be easy. When the test was over I had failed the whole thing.

How does this relate to the theme?

One day when we had a game I got put in the field, but I was doing horribly. When I lost the ball everyone would be looking at me for a few seconds and it was embarassing, I just wanted it to be over! When the game ended I immediatly went to the car and never wanted to go back again. My dad said that maybe if I had tried my best at practice then maybe you wouldn't feel so emmbarassed.

How does this relate to the theme?

This relates to the theme because even though I didn't want to do it, I did not realize that if I worked harder at practice then I would be better in game. Everyday instead of feeling excited to ski I was realy scared, I couldn't even go down the begginer ski trail without feeling scared. I decided to try harder and face my fears of heights. after a while and one private lesson I was confident in myself and went t the top of the mountain to attempt the trail. I went down it smoothly and felt proud of myself.
