Because of the social distancing rules, places like dance studios and gyms are all closed. Worse still, all the classes become online lectures. So I was literally having a sedentary lifestyle. Today, I want to talk about how COVID affects the economy of HK. I believe the end of Cathay Dragon is a big news to a majority of HKer since it is one of the best local airlines. It is an especially big news to me because my sister is exactly the cabin crew of Cathay Dragon working for almost 10 years. As a result, she lost her job all in a sudden and I could no longer enjoy the staff discount, which is really disheartening since I have so many travel plans after the COVID, but now I would have to travel less frequently as I did before. I went crazy for shopping online recently🛍 Not only is it convenient, but also efficient. I once received my order within three days even though it’s from international countries. Moreover, the after-service in most companies are comprehensive, they provide us with refund policies, which makes online shopping much more attractive. Before I never purchase clothes online because I reckon it’s so wasteful if they don’t fit me. But now I found that there are many assistance throughout my whole shopping experience. For example, I could enquire online staffs to provide advice or introduce the most suitable products to me. Also, there are many discount code shopping online rather than the physical store. In comparison between virtual and face to face learning, I actually prefer having lectures through zoom more, because it can let us watch the recorded lectures as many times as possible. Moreover, I don’t have to attend the lesson on a scheduled time. Therefore, my schedule would be more flexible and I could better allocate my time to different aspects equally (e.g. leisure time, exercise, academic). Thus, it is easier for me to strive a work-life balance. During face-to-face lectures, I lost my concentration easily and the professor usually speak in fast pace that I wasn’t able jot down everything important.
