The dynamics of the piece start very quietly at pianissimo before gradually getting louder with a crescendo in the piano at bar 35. The piano then goes back to piano by bar 42. The strings then also have a crescendo eventually reaching fortissimo in bar 60 as the climax of the piece to release the tension created by the previously quiet and tension building dynamics.
The two themes of this cue

Both theme uses a repetitive melodic 4 bars phrase to create the theme. This shows that Portman wants to take us back to the late baroque period when composer like Bach and Handel existed. 4 bar phrase melody are very common feature in the baroque period. This create an atmosphere of that era and sort of showing us this movie is in the 1700s.
IP

In bar 19 a harp and violin are added to the texture playing extremely low in their tessitura. Later more strings and a piano is added to increase the tension as well as a horn in bar 55 to add to the climax of the piece. MO
