The United States combats food insecurity through welfare programs like SNAP, school meal programs; their international aid contributions; and policies on climate, to bring about a reduction in environmental-related causes of hunger. This works best with transparency in government, accountability by the public, and international cooperation to ensure the resources reach the needy people. However its weakness is seen as political gridlock, economic constraints, and variable levels of commitment, making their impacts limited.

Brazil's Fome Zero (Zero Hunger) program, launched in the early 2000s, it was a policy designed to address food insecurity through direct aid, education, and sustainable farming initiatives. The program's approach, combined with government accountability, public-private partnerships, and community involvement, led to significant progress in reducing hunger, culminating in Brazil's removal from the World Hunger Map in 2014. This success highlights the importance of coordinated efforts and effective governance in tackling human security challenges.

In Yemen, the ongoing conflict and lack of effective governance have severely worsened food insecurity, leaving over half the population in crisis. Limited access to international aid and a collapsed economy have compounded this humanitarian disaster, making it nearly impossible for many families to secure basic necessities. The response to this crisis has been ineffective, due to political instability within the country and an insufficient international effort to address the root causes of the conflict. This situation highlights the lack of action and poor governance on their population.
