Our backup camera is a Canon EOS R5, if the ARRI Mini LF is unavailable or impractical to use for certain shots.

Considering that the majority of our shots are at night and therefore will have dark backgrounds, injecting some colour into the shadows is a great way to create even more visual depth as this will contrast the well-lit areas of shots.

We were also encouraged by the tungsten warm lighting within the car. We believe that even though the characters were strangers to each other the car itself should feel like a home hence we used a warmer light to display the feel of safety.

In this scene we were inspired by all of the shots that were specifically of George Clooney when inside the car and the effective use of lighting to enhance the tension of the scene. When he is driving through the street lights you can clearly see the quick flash of light hover over his face when driving. We wanted to mimic this in our film but in a more controlled environment. We created the effect by having the car stationary and shooting on a longer lens to hide the fact the car is not moving. We then brushed over handheld tube lights over the car to seem like they were driving through street lights.
