Think kahoot is an awesome app to use while online teaching, as it is very interactive and promotes student based learning. It gives students something to do together, yet still individually which creates excitement and perhaps a little competition.

I tried using it for lower aged kids which ended in a disaster and I quickly cancelled the activity. It allows you to put the book up on a projector or TV so both students and teachers can go through the book together. It offers tools for the teacher such as textboxes, highlighters and a digital pen. It's incredibly helpful to be able to point things out on the page as a class rather than have to go to each desk individually. 

The major downside is that you have to pay for it and I believe your school must be registered with Cambridge as an institute that uses their curriculum.
