English is such a fun language and subject to have. I have a big interest in the language. As English is the universal language, it is important to understand it and connect with it. We all sing along to songs but do we know what we singing and what the story behind the song is?

This was one of the most exciting and best shows we have done at KPS. I was part of the Grade 5 classes, and all the hard work and practice definitely paid off. The Grade 5 classes had the best show out of the whole school. The determination and attitude towards receiving the great feedback the showcase got were hands-down the highlights of the year.

Teaching TEFL online

I have completed my 250-hour TEFL course and worked for two online companies, Dazao and Waijoji. I taught English to children between 3 and 11 years old. This was the introduction video I used to apply for the work and to get students to tutor. I have had experience tutoring part-time and full-time, online and offline. This is what made me decide to go into teaching, as I have such a passion for the language and helping children receive better grades.

We did a Fundraising for the School

As an assistant teacher at Knysna Primary School, I am involved in every aspect of the school. I am a coach for athletics, netball, hockey, and tennis. When we do fundraisers, everyone gets involved, and everyone works on the day of the event. This is a great opportunity to get an all-rounder feeling of what a teacher is like and what is expected of you. Most people think you are in a classroom the whole day working a half-day job, but there is so much stress and planning going into each day.

We planned a farewell for netball for the year for the juniors, as they had fun in each game they played, and even though we did not always win, they never gave up and just loved the game so much that they cheered after every win and every loss. We are such proud coaches of the u/7, u/8, and u/9 netball girls.
