-Leading executive staff
George W. Bush appointed two justices during his presidency. One was John Roberts in 2005, and the other was Samuel Alito in 2006. In terms of success and impact of being a supreme court justice, both are still present on the court today. Bush's decision also led to John Roberts becoming the Chief Justice. In addition, the justices chosen were both part of the political party that matched Bush.

https://georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/infocus/judicialnominees/index.html

The positive atmosphere surrounding the president's decision when appointing the justices shows that he successfully fulfilled that role, and became victorious for his party and views.

After the attacks on 9/11, President Bush's response was to send troops into Afghanistan and declared a war on terrorism. Back on the Home front, Bush passed a policy called the PATRIOT Act, which allowed phone taps, surveillance of internet activities and the record keeping of bank accounts of Americans in order to ensure the safety of them and prevent another attack such as 9/11. The accompanied political cartoon exampled the meaning of the Patriot Act. Americans were being watched in order to ensure their safety and prevent future terrorist attacks from being achieved. As the role of president, Bush did succeed at protecting and ensuring the liberty of Americans.

PATRIOT Act:
https://www.justice.gov/archive/ll/highlights.htm

President Bush sent troops into Afghanistan and their mission/goal was called Operation Enduring Freedom. The goal of this operation was to stamp out the Taliban regime and their leader, Osama Bin Laden. Bush dubbed the operation in Afghanistan as 'the war on terror'. Bush's actions and his decision to send troops into Afghanistan can be argued that it was dangerous to put American lives in danger by placing them in a hostile environment.

Bushes presidency, he worked very hard to create positive relationships with different countries. One great action he did was creating the global AIDS program. Around 1.4 million Aids patients are receiving medicine that becomes life saving with American money. This program affects us very positively because he is able to show the world that America is willing to help anyone around the world try to become healthy and fight this disease if they don't have enough money to. In February 2003 he was pushing for a 5 year commitment of 30billion dollars and wanted to travel to Africa himself to state his case personally.

During George W. Bush's presidency, he was criticized greatly for not being able to make proper decisions himself. The claim was that his Vice President Dick Cheney and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld did not make one ******* decision while he was president. However, he was still unwilling to handle his policy and still forced Dick to do tasks that he should have been handling.

http://edinburgh.universitypressscholarship.com/view/10.3366/edinburgh/9780748627400.001.0001/upso-9780748627400-chapter-3

One of the most important responsibilities of being Chief Executive is leading the staff. The program allowed prescription drugs to be paid until a certain point, with which then Senior citizens paid the rest up until a certain point, then Medicare paid the remaining. $550 billion was put towards the Prescription Drug Plan which increased the amount of debt that America was already facing.

One of George W. Bush's plans on his agenda is to pass housing legislation that will help Americans keep their homes. As a result to this promise, he was able to sign a legislation that authorized $200 million per year in down payment to assist 40,000 low income families. The families were then able to achieve original goals and it also brought more communities together. Since the president was able to achieve his promise, he successfully fulfilled a role in being a chief legislator.

https://georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news/releases/2003/12/20031216-9.html

During his presidency, Bush passed a series of tax cuts to families and investors. They lasted from 2001-2012 and were directed towards the middle class, which was essentially the general population. The amount of tax cuts added even more to the national debt.
https://www.thebalance.com/president-george-bush-tax-cuts-3306331
As seen in the article, the wealthier taxpayers as well as people who earned over $200,000 a year were included within the citizens who had tax cuts and the policy was extended unconstitutionally by two years.
