if a child has an accident, you must be trained to give first aid if not you must get a first aider to dealt with the accident you must report any accident in the accident book time date where it happened and what the accident was e.g bump to the head.
Respond and report any incident that occurs on the premises 

Manager must give training and update staff
ensure equipment is checked (fire extinguisher, first aid boxes)
ensure forms are complete, parents informed
report to Health and safety Executive in some serious case
nominate designated first aider, fire
having documentation for inspection
