The schools in my area of North Carolina operate under a block schedule and fourth grade usually rotates during that schedule. Teaching this grade level will allow me the opportunity to know and help many different students instead of one small group. Teaching the Science and Social Studies combination is interesting to me because I like variety, plus these are subjects that are not getting enough attention at the grade school level.
