Flowchart is a little iffy - hard to know what is an immediate behavior vs. what should be dealt with in the class. Makes me hesitate to call the office, even if I feel like it is justifed.

T- Could we shorten the number of minors please? Also there has to be a way to track a student's minors over a day. A student could earn a minor every hour and leave school not really getting a consequence. Frustrating.

Record keeping needs to be simplified and consistant in that a student can have the same inappropriate behaviors throughout all hours on several days before becoming a major.

s The flowchart should have a date or version on it so we are all up to date. It would be better if there were a central minor infraction gathering tool so that students are held accountable after 3 offenses in different classes/areas rather than waiting for accumulation with one staff member. I have a spreadsheet that only takes a few clicks to update but I realize that that is a lot of management for teachers.

T - a common or central place to keep trackof behaviors would be helpful. Ifeel some students skirt the third behavior in all their classes to avoid consequences, but chalk up the first few in each class. THe additional paperworkis also somewhat of a bother

T- I think the blue sheet are a nice way to monitor the behavior, but keeping up on it does get difficult. It would be nice if we could monitor it electronically and that parents could see this daily. It would be nice for other teachers to see if the behavior is occuring in other classes as well

We are wasting way too much time discipling kids about cell phones we should not have to mention the rule at all it should be a given. Students have no respect because they know there is no follow through!

Can't imagine tracking minors for 150+ kids everyday. Something simpler would be nice but I am not sure what that would look like. Don't believe in "punishment" but do in holding kids accountable. Don't beleive the consequences we have right now impact students.

I agree with immediate office referral for cell phones. It is the biggest distraction in the classroom and students appear to be getting more and more addicted.

Frustrating to have to wait to apply consequences because paperwork is incomplete.

T-minors vs. majors need to be clarified...examples cheating...when does a teacher take care of it or when does it go directly down to the office! I believe cheating on a test (major) is very different than cheating on a homework assignment (minor). The flow chart does not make that clear and has caused some frustration in how to handle things.

T- I don't enforce cell phone policy because there isn't one..... we each define our own and it's not a battle I want to wage every hour of the day. If the district would adopt a COMMON policy so we could have clear guidelines as to what's acceptable I would then be glad to try to enforce it.

T- The students who commit the most offenses are taking advantage of the system. If our students who are 18 years old can call in an excuse their absences, they should be able to follow school expectations without practicing 4 times first.
