C formation is when your thumb is on C. Then, your index finger goes on D. Next, your middle finger goes on E. After that, your ring finger goes on F. Lastly, your pinkie finger goes on G!
F formation is kind of the same thing but your thumb is on F, your index finger is on G, your middle finger is on A, your ring finger is on B and your pinkie is on C.
