With the DNA it was found a few years ago that the fingerprints, bite marks, ext. were not as accurate as they thought it was so they are focusing on finding ways to make it more accurate so they don't wrongfully accuses someone. When talking about the upgrade to investigating computer crimes the technology of computers advances constantly making it easier to find or look at things deeper when needed. Compared to 100 years ago massive strides have been made in this field, making it easier to accurately test and match DNA to the perpetrator. I think that nowadays forensic scientists can find DNA matches easier and it is more accurate than it would have been 100 years ago, so less people are being falsely accused of committing a crime.
