Introducing, my name is Rizki Afriansyah, I am 19 years old, I will tell a story about why I chose the UIN Raden Fatah Palembang campus and why I chose the English department, I have an older sister who studies at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang too, I used to often go to campus this is to meet my sister, the first time I went to this campus I was very happy and I said in my heart I also wanted to study at this amazing campus, finally when I graduated from MA I enrolled in this campus and majored in language English because I often watch Hollywood films such as Avengers, Fast & Furious, Avatar And many more, I am very obsessed with the way Western and European people speak using English even I often imitate it in everyday life, and also I am at school I used to be an English MC when I graduated from 12th grade, so I decided to take a step English, now after the announcement of the graduation of UIN Raden Fatah it turned out that I did not graduate, maybe I was not destined to study there in 2020 but I was not discouraged I still wanted to study at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang then I was waiting for registration in the following year namely in 2021, and finally in 2021 I graduated from the first major I took and a major that I enjoy, I am very happy to be a part of this amazing campus. that's a short story about my journey to be at the UIN Raden Fatah Palembang campus, thank you for reading this story ma'am..

Introducing my name is Yerico Ferginan, the beginning of my story was a test at Unsri majoring in engineering but I didn't pass and also I did a test at the Health Polytechnic but didn't pass, and I also took the ptkin span test at UIN raden fatah but didn't pass and all that happened in 2020, so I decided to work first then in 2021 I took a test through the UMPTKIN route, at that time I took three study programs, the first was English language education, the second was journalism and the third was PIAUD. At that time I chose the English education study program not because I was good at English even from elementary school to high school I was not good at and didn't like English but at that time I saw various study programs on the UMPTKIN pathway, my heart seemed to say to took an English education study program, so I took this major and I actually graduated in this study program and now I am happy and enjoying this study program.

Okay in the fact, when i was junior high School I really don't like english very much and that time I was joining a science course then Miss Titin was my teacher asked to me " Why dont you Join english course too like your friend?" And i answered " In my opinion english is not very important miss"
Then i moved to islamic boarding school because of a reason , while I was studying there, I like english step by step because I really want to prove to my enemies or people who are hate to me that I can be more than them.
Time by time went I studied English in an English dormitory and I was given the opportunity to take part in a story telling competition in 2017 with the theme of Timun Emas with the intention of getting out of the boarding school complex.
And i was really surprise, I won the competition of the first winner.

Next is when i was senior high School, actually I really never thinked that i would get uin raden fatah, because my dreaming campus is Uin maulana malik ibrahim in malang and i would choose english study program.. But, allah knows what is the best for his servant. Finally, I got english study program in uin raden Fatah by SPANPTKIN test

Before starting I introduce myself my name is Heni Safera i am from Semendo Muara Enim, both of my parents work as coffee farmers in the village. Even so, they have high aspirations to send their children to as high a school as possible. My sister is also an alumni of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. So there's been a little story about this university, I entered this UIN following the span ptkain path, the reason why I chose the English major is that I like the English teacher seeing that he teaches well and often gives motivation about studying makes me interested in trying to enter the major this, although with inadequate basic English capital. Even so, I am still happy to be in the middle of UIN now. sometimes it's a heavy burden I feel sorry for taking this English major because it's difficult to understand what people are talking about in English, but for the reason that I don't want to disappoint my parents, I still get to this stage, so when there are lecturers who are too restrictive in learning I feel a bit as if there is no appreciation in the learning process, although it is always true so figuratively I feel a bit sad when things are against students. I am proud to be a part of this university. I am proud to be a student even with a little pressure from several parties.

Being in the midst of students who can speak English well is a pressure for me, but what's wrong with trying and continuing to learn, I'm writing this just to tell you a little from my point of view as an ordinary student one day friends who read this can make this as motivation or as material for self-introspection. I have wanted to study at UIN since I was in 9th grade and learned from the internet. At that time I wanted to study majoring in Indonesian language education. But it just became my wish, I still keep it a secret from my parents for fear of not being given permission. When I went to MA, I changed my mind because I tried to find information and found that at UIN Raden Fatah there was no Indonesian language education major. Then I turned to being a teacher of Islamic Religious Education. And when I was in grade 12, my parents offered me to continue my studies, as long as I wasn't outside the city of Palembang. Then I answered, I want to continue to an Islamic college. My father suggested that I study at UMP where my sister used to study. But I don't want to because UMP is a private university, of course the semester fees are expensive. I am afraid that my parents will not be able to pay for it, and I will make it difficult for them. Then I said I wanted to study at UIN Raden Fatah. When I started to register for the SPAN-PTKIN pathway, my mind was confused because I had to choose 2 majors, I was confused about which major to choose other than PAI. Then I was advised by my sister and also my English teacher at MA, that I choose the PBI major. Because in my village there are very few English language education personnel, they said that later the job opportunities would be easier. So I chose the PBI and PAI majors. When the SPAN-PTKIN announcement, it turned out that I graduated from the PBI major. At that time I was confused whether to feel sad or happy, because I had doubts if I took the PBI major. I also feel annoyed because my friend who graduated majoring in PAI but was not taken by her. Even though I really really wanted to enter the PAI major. The disappointment subsided when I continued to be supported by my neighbor who used to also study PBI, but he did not become a teacher, he preferred to become an Airline Staff at Angkasa Pura. He always said studying at PBI was fun, and the job opportunities were also good. From there I tried to sincerely accept it. So, the reason i study at UIN Raden Fatah and taje this english education. The first is because i'm failed to sign in at sriwijaya univerisy, because there are something wrong, which requires me to cancel sign in at there. The second is, because this UIN Raden Fatah including me final request, which still open registration SPAN. And i think i must registration in UIN Raden Fatah because if no?, so i must gap year. Next is the reason i choose this major, because i only love english language since i'm in junior high school, i love everything about english, example: listening english songs, singing english songs and etc. Despite all that, i can too, study or understand the lesson, depending on who teach me. If teacher or lectuer is killer, so i will be difficult digest tge words what is spoke. If teacher enjoy or friendly and no killer?, i in syaa Allah verry easy to understand. My name is Azmi Sauki, i from south OKU, and i'm 18 years old. My story about "why do i choosen UIN Raden Fatah Palembang as my university?", because my skill had in english so i really confident to choose english education study program on UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. In the beginning i'm on my senior high school and there's has announcement about admission of new students on a lot university that call SNMPTN and SBMPTN. On SNMPTN i choosen medical faculty nursing and environmental health study program on UNSRI but i didn't passed it. And i try on second chance on SBMPTN and didn't passed too. and then on my school has announcement about SPAN-PTKIN and i'm one off eligible student for entering a university on SPAN-PTKIN and i think this is my last chance and i'm choosen english education study program for first list choice and second list is biology education study program on UIN RADEN INTAN Lampung, and then graduation announcement i passed on english education study program on UIN Raden Fatah Palembang and now i'm a student on UIN Raden Fatah.

Let me introduce myself first, my name is Gysela Debby Utari but you can also call me Gysel. I just turned 18 at the end of last December so I'm not really old or young between all my friends. Here, I want to tell you about how can I choose UIN and this major of course. First, i don't really know anything about UIN, but my teacher told me to apply in all pathways to enter state college, so I did it and ask permission to my mom. She say "is okay if you want, then do that" because I got approval from my mom, I asked what major I should take, she said just make it the same as what you took at SNMPTN that is Education in English and pharmacy At UNSRI, but because there is no pharmacy at UIN, I took information technology. When the announcement of SNMPTN, I was not accepted in both majors so I immediately enrolled in the SBMPTN with the same major and University as the SNMPTN. But still not accepted, so when I announced UIN at SPAN PTKIN I was desperate if it wasn't accepted either, but I was accepted into this major and I took it because English is my basic skill. I've studied English for about 6 years, but I don't think there's any progress to be proud of, I don't know why but I'm quite disappointed with myself about it, But again, that's what I've often learned rather than repeating the lesson from scratch, it's better to continue what is already there. Let me introduce my self first this speaking is Farhana Alya Kamila my Student ID number is 2110205016 standing here to tell you my behind story, I mean how and why i become a collage student from Raden Fatah State Islamic University | Palembang..and also why did i choose to be major in English Education. so let's get started. Previously, I had no intention of attending at Raden Fatah State Islamic University, Palembang (UIN Raden Fatah) because I planned to major in fine arts at the Indonesian Art Institute (ISI) at the time, but my mother would not allow me to do because the COVID-19 pandemic was rife at the time. But my mom knows I have English skills, my mother proposed that I major in English education at the University of Sriwijaya. But, at the time, my teacher when i was i junior high school advised me not to focus too much on SNMPTN and SBMPTN. So I participated in numerous selections to join college without taking an exam, one of which was SPANPTKIN program, I tried to participate in the selection. I picked UIN Raden Fatah, Palembang to major in English as one of them. I wasn't expecting it because I was busy preparing for my SBMPTN TEST. Suddenly my chairmate call me on the day of the spanptkin announcement to inform me that I had passed SPANPTKIN, i had passed the selection alhamdulillah. to be honest I was confused and apprehensive and happy at the same time because my mother preferred that I study at Sriwijaya University | Palembang, but in the end, I chose to major in PBI UIN RF i leave my SBMPTN test and choose SPANPTKIN. At that time I had the intention to major in pharmacy at UNSRI but when the SNMPTN and SBMPTN exams failed, but I was not sad and i had no other choice, when there was a SPAN-PTKIN route the day before it closed I was browsing universities in google , and I found UIN RADEN FATAH palembang and UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta,they're closest to my place, and I decided to try majoring in English education at the University and finally graduated at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, maybe this wasn't my main choice, but I feel that my efforts and prayers are lacking, so I should be grateful for the best for me and at UIN RADEN FATAH PALEMBANG is an Islamic university, so that it keeps me awake in worship,
Why did I major in English? because I feel the opportunity to be an English teacher in that my area is very large, besides that I like to sing English even though my voice is not very good, and I also like traveling to other countries so I need mastery in speaking English, apart from that ,I like to share knowledge with people around me, like before I did offline lectures, I worked in a special tutoring place and I found various characters of children and I felt challenged to be a teacher, and being a teacher was great (amazing) and I feel happy because of that.

A short story about the reason I chose UIN Raden Fatah University Palembang at first I aspired to be a doctor when I was in elementary and junior high school, but when I was in high school I started to think about the costs and capital to enter UNSRI tertiary institutions entered the medical department. Long story short. Year after year passed I entered the English organization, the club at SMA Bina Cipta Palembang. I joined the English club for 3 years and when I was in grade 11 high school I became the chairman of the English club, it became one of my motivations and made me like to speak English, one of the important roles was my late Sir, Triyono S.Pd who always motivated me to become his successor, namely an English teacher, but when I was declared graduated at UIN Raden Fatah University, Palembang, Allah called him I was very sad when I graduated the person who motivated me was gone. the second reason is that my parents want me to enter UIN because it is quite distance and affordable costs, that is what makes me motivated to enter UIN Raden Fatah to become an English teacher and if Allah allows I want to become a lecturer.

I entered this because I enrolled in two universities, namely UIN Raden Fatah Palembang and Sriwijaya University with the same major, namely English education, but I got the opportunity to graduate at UIN through the PTKIN span path, the reason I chose English education was because I hope it can be useful in implementing grammar improvements in the future, and also can upgrade my skill, i also hope have a best grades high score for this semester and it will be usefully for my future and also for the offline class can give us more effective learning. i think that's all and i hope it goes well and im interested in learning more ,i think thats all and thank you ma’am

My name is Clarisa Arviana i come from ogan ilir, now i am 17 years old. The reason why I chose the English major, was because when I entered the SPAN PTKIN selection, my teacher suggested that I only major in English and I also quite liked English lessons, and at the time of the announcement I was finally accepted into the English Department.
