He used to tell these funny stories, and we had heard them all a million times, but we'd all crack up anyway. He had that way about him. He died when I first started high school, and I've missed him so much ever since then. We still talk about him at family parties, so being able to sit down and talk to him would be really meaningful. I'd just want to tell him everything that I've accomplished and how I'm on track for graduation. Socrates, and the pre-socratic philosophers were the first thinkers who attempted to answer the most perplexing questions about life and human existence without appealing to the "gods." The written record of Socrates's teachings shows a man who asked penetrating questions, questions that uncovered the assumptions behind commonly held beliefs to find out what people really understood. Plato was largely influenced by Socrates. Some speculate that most of the works by Plato are likely transcriptions of discussions he and others had with Socrates. What these philosophers did greatly influence thinking throughout Western civilization even to this day. So, if i had the opportunity to meet Socrates and ask him a question, I'd want to know what motivated him to pursue answers to the questions he was asking. I too would like to learn more about life's greatest mysteries and what led us here.

I’ve never been able to meet them in person because Greece has a rough terrain and I wouldn’t be able to go over there. I want to ask him so many things, that we would probably be in the room for a while.
