I appreciated receiving feedback via WhatsApp, with both audio messages and texts. I think having one face-to-face session per semester and the rest asynchronously worked really well for me.

In order to take full advantage of this material and have it as insight/input, I'd add notes, vocabulary, expressions, links, activities and anything I'd see fit weekly. The students love it and their engagement peaked considerably compared to sending homework on whatsapp, for example.
