The children were excited as they left early in the morning. They thought the trip was to Durban again, and they really enjoyed the lazy days in Amamzintoti. 
'Can we go to the Dolphinarium again, this year?' asked Ana.
'We'll see!' said Dad.
To their surprise, they stopped at a Holiday Inn Hotel in the Valley of a Thousand Hills, before reaching Durban, and spent the night there.
The next day, they drove through Durban and Amamzintoti and continued south. They only stopped in East London, some 650 km south of Durban. On their way, they made a few stops at amazing places such as the Giant's Castle Nature Reserve in the Drakensberg Mountains. They enjoyed the scenery and the wildlife very much. 
Then they would drive down to Amamzintoti, 25 km south of Durban, where the rest of the holidays were spent enjoying the warm sea waters and lovely sunshine.

And it is really beautiful - Table Mountain sitting relaxed, overlooking the city, in the middle of Lion's Head and Devil's Peak! What a sight! 
The next day, they took the cable car to the top of Table Mountain. This mountain is flat on top, and when the clouds move in from behind, they fall over like a tablecloth. It is really amazing.
They explored the area during the next few days. They went to the beach and to the Cape of Good Hope. Then it was time to say goodbye to this beautiful city.
On their journey back home, they visited the Stellenbosch farms where some of the world's finest wines are produced. 
While driving through the Karoo, on the way back home, the children slept for the most part. 
Ana and Pedro enjoyed this surprise trip around South Africa with their parents, very much.
