These movements can strengthen a person because of the struggles they have seen their families go through. Seeing them go through these events can cause a person to want to do better not only for them but for their future families as well. It motivates them to keep on pushing for better futures as time goes by as well.

Question 2. From time to time, our parents talk about the families they have at home. They talk about calling them, missing them, visiting them. Fabiola's mom at times tells her she'll go back to see them again but she knows they won't let her travel back.

We believe that our families would prefer to stay in the US rather than returning to their homeland because they created their own families here and they know that they wouldn’t have had that if they went back. They talk about how they miss their family from their homeland but since they came to the US their lives improved and they don’t take that for granted.

Change definitely does strengthen someone as a person because although we might resent it in the moment, we will always take it as an experience that we can learn and grow from. Seeing that our parents and grandparents also came from nothing, it is inspiring to us because we have more help than they did, so we can hopefully be what they wanted to be.

At times I feel like our families do think about their life in their home country. I know leaving family behind was hard for them, especially when they have kids there. I know this from experience. My mom has a kid and it saddens her that she wasn’t able to raise him and be there for him.

2) In our group, most of parents /family members would prefer to to move back to their home country. One of the reasons for wanting to go to their home country is family membes own property as well having different freedom.

At times our family members would rather live where they came from than live here due to everything being cheaper, being able to see family, being able to own land, etc. this is due to familiarity, they feel more at home than being here in the us.

A person's strength may come from these motions because of the hardships they have witnessed their family members endure. Witnessing these experiences might make someone desire to improve not just for themselves but also for their future families. It also inspires people to keep working for greater futures throughout time.
