Schools should take responsibility for when they are not supporting their students. However, parents do have responsibilities when it comes to supporting their children. We do not think every student should have an IEP because normal class sizes wouldn’t be possible.

We don’t think that it work under current administration if a strike is needed to make a change. t harms the community because the administration will become stricter. The strike will also divide the community with families that support the teachers movement & the families that want their children in the classroom. Also with students not in school, some families have to make plans for their children while they are working.

1a. The parents got involved by sitting in at the board meeting. Also the brown berets (college students) got involved as well. Further, the movement spread throughout east Los Angeles to other schools.
1b. They rallied behind Sal Castro, a movement leader, because after his arrest they wanted him back as a teacher even though the school wouldn’t allow him to come back and teach. Also, the FBI also got involved with undercover cops.
