         <title>Dr. Padi Boyd</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Dr. Padi Boyd is a very cultivated scientist who works at NASA.<br>When she was a kid, she didn't spend much time thinking about science, she was very interested in writing, art, dance, gymnastics, and music. Today she is part of a project called Astro Capella, which is an a capella group that performs songs about astronomy.<br>It is at the high school that Padi discovered that she was fascinated by astronomy.<br>She studied physics in graduate school at Drexel University.<br>Padi's main interest is analyzing data from astronomical objects to search for periodic and non-periodic variations, to learn about the dynamical interactions taking place in the objects.<br><br>I chose to present Dr. Padi Boyd because she is a woman and I think that, when we say "a scientist" most of people think at a man so I wanted present a woman.<br>Padi is an artist, and me too, I'm an artist, I enjoy dancing and playing an instrument.<br>Finally, like Padi, I like astronomy, not as much as her but I'm interested in astronomy as well. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Tides are a phenomenon which makes going up and goes down the sea. In a day, there are 2 high tides and 2 low tides, separated by 6 hours between them.<br>Tides are caused by the moon because of the gravitational force which attracts the Earth. In fact the moon is stretching our planet, and so it gives to Earth a sort of rugby ball shape. </div>]]></description>
