         <description><![CDATA[<div>- reassessments must be done within three days of the test<br>- need to show that you properly re-reviewed/prepared for doing reassessments<br>- You will talk to Ms. Daugherty and set up an appointment to do corrections in the testing center...<br>- for the article in pkt -Addiction Deliberation-, use evidence to answer: "identify the author's claim, do you agree with the author?" Include two pieces of support and two counter arguments against the author.<br>- The authors were basically using nature vs nurture to explain addiction of people to drugs. I agree a bit with both of these views and think that both contribute to that problem. We can have a higher risk for something, but our environment and upraising will be what actually brings that problem tendency to the forefront.</div>]]></description>

Instead it blocks or inhibits the function fo that neurotransmitter receptor. (Botulin, a poison that paralyzes you by blocking ACH receptors involved in muscle movement).</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>With the Phineas Gage and John Green clip, in terms of the functions of the frontal lobe, what does it mean to be human?<br>Personality, judgement, thinking, and trust are all functions of mankind's uniquely high-functioning Frontal Lobe of the brain. This lobe gives us the capability to have a unique consciousness and process what we do and think while we are alive. It also allows for us to trust others and decide to form companionship bonds with others. All of these things allow for us to be unique, high-functioning individuals that recognize the consciousness/humaness of our friends; the lobe allows us to be human.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-words or pictures shown to the right hemisphere are only able to be drawn for conformation.<br>-need to interprete why two events occurred, the logic part of the left brain shows itself.<br>-left=analytical, right=face<br>Q1; The Corpos Collusom was severed and its function is to connect the two sides of the brain. Mike Gaczaniga studied the results of this on Joe.<br>Q2: The left hand is controlled by the right brain&nbsp; and the right hand is controlled by the left brain. Broca's area is on the left Frontal lobe. Vision is registered on opposite sides of brain, too. With all of these complexities of what part of the brain is used for situations about the other side of body, there is bound to be some confusion and trouble.<br>Q3: If I had to choose a hemisphere to go without, I would go without the right hemisphere.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Video notes:<br>-Pituitary gland releases growth hormone when we sleep<br>-REM is where brain recharges and we dream.<br>Stage 4= deep sleep, within first couple of hours of sleep.<br>Q1: We sleep to rest our neurons and give the pituitary gland and hippo-campus a chance to do their job by releasing hormones and storing memories.<br>Q2: The sleep cycle is 90 minutes. Stages 1,2,3,4,3,2,1, and REM. The best stage to wake up in stage 1, it is most relaxed but not deep.<br>Q3: We dream in rem.<br>Q4: manifest content is what really happens in dream, latent content is underlying meaning<br>Q5: How long can somebody go without sleeping?</div>]]></description>
