         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong><em>“THE LOST WORLD OF ANTHENEUM”</em></strong></div><ul><li>The title of the programme that we decided to propose is called <mark>‘The Lost World of Antheneum’.</mark> This name is inspired by the name of theme park in Malaysia. It inspires us to apply the concept and its name into the library orientation programme for our library, which is the Sarawak State Library. The real use of the word ‘lost’ in the title does not mean the student is ‘lost’ when entering the library but instead they will feel ‘excited’ and immense themselves to discover a new world about library and information and feel interested to learn new things. </li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><strong><em>Antheneum </em></strong>is the synonym of library. According to Collins Dictionary, antheneum means an institution for the promotion of learning or also known as a building containing a reading room or library, especially one used by such an institution. The reason we replace the word ‘library’ with ‘antheneum’ is because we want to make the title of the programme sounds fascinating enough to caught the students’ attention.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Methods of delivery</strong> : Since our target audience involving students semester 1 from UiTM Samarahan, Sarawak, we would like to focus the first session with having a tour in the library as an introduction. Our staff, who known as Miss Charlene , is responsible as a library educator to show and brought the students from one section to another. For clear explanation, she will be using a microphone as a tool of delivering information. This is because all of the students are having a tour as whole one group, so some of them might face issue like cannot hear her explanation clearly if she doesn’t use one. For safety reason, we also prepare two staff to monitor their movement to prevent students from lost. Throughout the first and second floor, students will be expose to the different section, various types of materials, services and many more.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Methods of delivery</strong> : For the next activity, we will go through OPAC system in the deeper level. Indeed, during the first session, we already revealed about this service to the students. However, the explanation is quite simple. But this time we will guide and explain to them on how to use it properly including steps by step. For easy learning process, students will be divided into 10 group and for each group there will be one instructor (our staff). Basically, this activity will be held in the multimedia gallery section. This is because it has wide space and this section provide a lot of computers. When our staff done explaining, the students will be given an opportunity to test the OPAC, to ensure they are understand it clearly.          <title>iii.Activity 3 : Scavenger Hunt</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Methods of delivery</strong> : Next, is about scavenger hunt. This is a game activities that allowed students to explore the entire building of this library while doing a task. In order to win, the first group who find all the right materials without breaking the rules will be consider as one. Before the game start, in 15 minutes, the students also will be divided into 10 group and each group need to appoint a leader. Then, we will called each leader so we can briefing on how the game works as well as the rules. Finished briefing, our staff will start off passing a paper that have the list of materials. Each group represent different color, so they need to find the material that have sticker of ‘their’ color. After that, leader will explain the task to their group members and the game can be start on 1430. Whoever finished all the task first, they must come to the first floor to get to the finished line. Friendly reminder, any group that got caught cheating will be disqualified.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>As the staff of Sarawak State Library we decided to propose these programme because we wanted to introduce our library to the users and also to let them experiences the activities and services that we provide. This is one of the good opportunity to attract more user in the future. We decided to invite students from Universiti Teknologi Mara, UiTM Samarahan, Campus Sarawak, under Information Management Faculty to come to our library. We have provided several activities in order to the library orientation for the students. The activities that we wanted to do will be explain in the next part in this proposal. It is one day programme and we will try our best to provide user education for them and at the same time, ensure that all of the students can gain new experience and learn something new while they having fun during the library orientation. </li></ul>]]></description>

So by doing this library orientation the student can apply all things that we teach them in their university library. Even though, that is different types of library but there are things that at least can help them to find information and applied the skill that they have. Our library have decided to approach students of UiTM Samarahan 1. Not all the students of the faculty will joining this program.<strong><em><mark> Only part one students of this faculty</mark></em></strong>. The reasons why we choose part one students of diploma in information management are to make them aware with every library tools like OPAC. Since they will learn subject that related to library it is importance to them to learn everything that inside the library. The second reason why we choose student of UiTM Samarahan 1, are it only took 30 minutes from UiTM to our library. So, cost and time can be saved<br><br></div>]]></description>

All the students will go to our library by UiTM bus. Meanwhile for lecturers they will go to Sarawak State Library by their own transportations. We have make discussion and send paper work to UiTM Samarahan 1. They was agreed to provide four busses to all the students that joining our program. But our library will pay for the bus fare prices. Since this program give many benefits to student diploma of faculty information management.<br><br></div>]]></description>

The program is named "The World of Antheneum". Sarawak State Library held this program so that<mark> it can provide awareness and knowledge to students, especially students who have just entered the university world </mark>where they need to be independent to find information without the help of lecturers. The activities provided are also interesting activities that have been planned by the library where it will provide fun, experience and even knowledge to the students. This exposure about Sarawak State Library is also<mark> as a preparation for students for the coming semesters</mark>. Such preparation is very important for students so that they do not feel awkward when faced with a new situation like this.
