Vowing to avenge the citizens who died during the bombings in 1945 of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the Japanese had recreated the same atomic bombs dubbed “Fat Man” and “Little Boy” and dropped them in Singapore. In this artwork, I depicted the bombs falling from an aircraft and the point of explosion. I chose to depict the woes of war by depicting how i imagined a bomb exploding would look like and its destruction. My background is reddish and yellow and orange to mimic the explosion being so hot that the sky looks like its burning in itself and the initial blast wave blasting away Nan Hua from the back. The shockwaves from the blast then killed everyone on impact.  The fragmentation will then cause the bomb casing to be thrown forward violently thus causing the debris on the ground and with the rapidly increasing temperatures, fires would be breaking out. In year 2300,(sorry I typed 3000lmao)technology has reached a very advanced state for us to communicate with other beings but not all of them are friendly.so i used brushes to add reddish and black hues to the background in order to give the drawing a bloodish hue which signifies the colour of war fires and blood from people who were ripped apart by alien creatures. Some of the building were only blackish from the fire as i was not skilful enough to edit a collapsing building and make it look realistic I can’t even draw paint coming off help. Anyway I didn’t choose to add any humans in this scene to  highlight the depressing atmosphere of the school being lifeless and full of the sent of death.(the only”life”in here is the random alien). As the world population is rising, there is less space on earth to fit schools and hence, schools have been made into spaceships that travel in the vast outer space to educate students. As technology advances, drones are used to record and transmit what they see and hear back to Earth, where students listen and learn. Teachers will be holograms, which are projected infront of the drones, while mimicking everything that the teacher says and does back on Earth. The ceiling of the classroom is transparent and shows the stars and galaxies on the outside of the spaceship for the students to admire through the cameras of the drones. The door is a wormhole, for the drones to return to Earth at the end of the day to recharge and prepare for the next day. Of course, who needs a whiteboard in class when technology is the state of the art? There is a large and wide curved monitor at the front of the classroom to display the necessary visuals needed for lessons. However, monsters were seen starting to attack. Nan Hua is in a glass dome as to prevent any movement in space to affect the students. The words of ‘Nan Hua 2300’ are blurred as to make it more aesthetically pleasing as it talks about how Nan Hua survives the fight in this war. Watch this movie to find out more!

Although they may not need it but it is important to have it to get more energy and resources, thus, a water plantation was built everywhere to have more water. In the end, NanHua High decided not to shift locations yet, making the current NanHua High School buildings the oldest ones ever in NanHua’s history. A revolution in Russia made the new government in Russia focus more on technological developments, causing them to discover a way to use the Earth’s magnetic field and make floating magnetic cars and spaceships at a relatively cheap cost. NanHua High was able to purchase some of them for students and staffs as transportation tools since living conditions in the west skyrocketed and attracted more students to study in NanHua High which made them stonks and no longer bankrupt. As their 383rd anniversary and Singapore’s 335th National Day comes by, they even bought hologram projectors that cast a spectacular celebration animation. After some research on the internet, NanHua found the classical Rick Astley Jokes, and decided to bring it back to the students with past films and videos using more of the hologram and placing them in all corners around the school, showing that the school is still in touch with the students’ cultures and communities. Lastly, the school used APLs(Aerial Powered Lightsources) on the welcome sign, to make it more obvious to make new students feel more welcomed. So much more technology is used at other parts of the school but there is no time to show you all of that. So, without further ado, let’s head right back to 2021.

Firstly, Nan Hua starts to float up into the clouds to let students experience a much cooling atmosphere as compared to Singapore's hot and humid climate. Up in the clouds, there will be more moisture and regular rainfall, thus Nan Hua adapted by installing a water collecting tube. All excess water will be drained into the tube to be reused. The tube also serves a purpose as a water slide to get to the storeys below. Secondly, there is a huge piano tiling on the ground for students to have fun (stepping on the tiles) while learning a new instrument.  Also, on the stage, people can perform. Thirdly, there are two glass tubes of classrooms where students spend half their time in school at. Lastly, Nan Hua has a zipline that allows students to transport around the school easily.

Students no longer need to go to school physically. Instead, everyone will just stay at home and use  virtual reality technology to control their personal robot to attend lessons as well as other activities in school. The poster shown is an example of a virtual reality lesson package for students to learnt about the school’s history and how NanHua was like 200 years ago. In 2300, war broke out between countries and the excessive use of industries to make weapons resultes in the increase of global warming . The gas from the industries also resulted in lethal gasses in the surrounding.Thus people have to wear protective suits . To protect their country , Singapore scientists invented a way to make 2D objects come to live, but in the excitement of the discovery , they accidentally used it on a subject , the big chungus . It grew to enormous size and began destroying the city. Sea-levels rise and soon there was no doubt that Singapore, along with many other cities, will sink into the ocean. As there are limited space in the galaxy that are suitable for men to live, tickets to the galaxy to live can rise up to 900,000 per person. The government then decided to lucky pick on schools and companies to go up the galaxy. Nan Hua High School is one of the lucky schools out of the thousands of schools picked to be able to earn a space in space.
