He lived mostly in France and he was a very influential artist in the 20th century. He co-founded the Cubist Movement. In Cubist artwork, objects are analyzed, broken up and reassembled in an abstracted form—instead of depicting objects from a single viewpoint, the artist depicts the subject from a multitude of viewpoints to represent the subject in a greater context. Picasso’s most famous works include Guernica, The Weeping Woman and The Old Guitarist.

Guernica was painted in 1937 and it represents the bombing of a village in northern Spain by German and Italian warplanes during the Spanish Civil War. Guernica portrays the suffering wrought by violence and chaos. Prominent in the composition are a gored horse, a bull, screaming women, a dead baby and flames. It is on display at the Museo Reina Sofia in Madrid.

He lived during the Renaissance. He wanted to know everything about nature and its laws. Da Vinci never went to school but still had an amazing mind! He is best known for his famous works such as The Mona Lisa, The Last Supper and Vitruvian Man. The Vitruvian Man is an incredible representation of the connection between man and nature. 

The Mona Lisa was painted between 1503 and 1506. This is a portrait of a woman called Lisa Gherardini. She was the wife of a Florentine merchant, and so her gaze would have been meant for her husband. For some reason however, the portrait was never delivered to its patron, and Leonardo kept it with him when he went to work for Francis I, the King of France. The painting is now in The Louvre museum in Paris and it is believed to be one of the most famous paintings in the world.

    The Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família is a large unfinished minor basilica in Barcelona. 
    In 1882, its construction began. At the time of his death in 1926, less than a quarter of the project was complete. The steeples and most of the church's structure are to be completed by 2026 but details and decorations should be complete by 2032. 
    Another one of his masterpieces is Park Güell. UNESCO declared the park a World Heritage Site under "Works of Antoni Gaudí". Park Guell is one of the most impressive public parks in the world. Though never fully completed, it remains one of Gaudi’s most colorful and playful works with gingerbread-like houses and colorful tiles all around. 
    “Why did Gaudi never complete anything?” you may be asking yourself. Because he got hit by the first tram in Spain and died.
